A lovely daily drinking green tea, with a floral vegetal taste combined with a gentle astringent finish.

Nawa Arya Tara are a fantastic example of the shift by small Nepalese tea gardens to process their own tea leaves to a high standard with imported Chinese machinery.

Tasting Notes:

Altitude: 1,800-2,000m

Sourced: Direct from the farmer

Brewing Advice:
- Heat water to roughly 75°C/167°F
- Use 1 teaspoon per cup/small teapot
- Brew for 60-90 seconds

Quaffable enough. I don’t get much taste on the front at all, but going down pleasantly like nettles (if you’ve had nettle soup – like brighter spinach). I think it’ll take a while. I often need others here to taste a tea first because then their descriptions help me home in on the flavours to be alert for.
