57 Tasting Notes
During my trip to Colombia earlier this year I took frequent trips to the health food stores and also researched to see if there was any tea estates that produce local teas. During one of my trips to the health food store I found this brand. I am a big fan of Lulo, its a tropical fruit that you won’t find anywhere outside of South America except in the frozen section as pulp in the latino stores. This tea is very creamy, with hints of natural citrusy fruitiness.
Flavors: Citrusy, Creamy, Fruity
Preparation
TTB tasting: the licorice really comes through strongly, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. It has a lot of medicinal benefits with all the adaptogenic herbs, but I just can’t get paste the licorice.
Flavors: Licorice Root
Preparation
TTB tasting: This was a nice fruity earl grey blend. I can taste berries and the bergamot balanced perfectly. I would say its a dessert tea, tasty. It has a touch of elderberry which I couldn’t taste as much, I tasted blueberries and strawberries. Great as a latte
Flavors: Berries
Preparation
TTB tasting: This is such a fragrant and pleasant tea, great for night time. I’ve had it twice already in the evenings. When I first open the package, all I smell is the roses. After steeping it, I can taste the lime, rose with a subtle floral taste from the borage as well. It’s a really mellow tea even though the rose really comes through, I love that it’s just three ingredients and it still taste amazing! Love it.
Flavors: Lime, Rose
Preparation
TTB tasting: This is my second steep with this tea. The first steep was mellow and almost creamy and smooth. This second steep have a more citrusy note as well as an astringency to it as well
Flavors: Citrus
Preparation
TTB tasting: Having it in the afternoon after a sort of heavy meal. I steeped it at 165 F for 65 seconds. I like the smooth fresh green taste. It does leave a mouth a bit dry after drinking a couple of sips though. Its a nice mellow green tea.
Flavors: Fresh, Grassy, Smooth
