Sipdown! (11 | 409)

The very last advent mini-tin has been defeated! \o/

This is an interesting one. It’s called “Chocolate Vanilla” and yet really it’s a Mexican hot chocolate-style chocolate and cinnamon rooibos with a bit of vanilla creaminess. The chocolate is fairly natural despite there being some chocolate flavoring here, and the cinnamon is somewhere between the spice itself and Red Hots. The vanilla mostly just adds creaminess, I think.

I like it, but not something I would order. I would rather just have a hot chocolate!

Adventaggedon Day 23 – Tea 5/6

What the fuck Vahdam!? For the second day in a row, we got something completely different from anything else that was in the advent – do I dark bank on the same for tomorrow!? Seriously, not only is this the first chocolate profile in the advent but it’s also a rooibos tea. I didn’t even realize that Vahdam worked with rooibos, as it’s a South African ingredient and basically all their ingredients come from India or the surrounding countries…

It’s actually damn nice – of course, like anything from Vahdam, they’ve snuck a tiny bit of spice into the mix but it’s the cardamom note that I love so much from them. The chocolate is very natural though – not too sweet, not oily but present and smooth/creamy. I don’t so much taste the vanilla as an individual flavour, but I can see how it’s adding to the silkiness of the other ingredients in the blend.

Very different than anything I’d have expected from Vahdam, but I’m digging it!
