I was sadly disappointed when I opened the teabag envelope and realized that there’s really no strong aroma to it at all – just a really faint artificial lemon and paper smell. The tea liquor has the same odd fake note to it, and it reminds of a lemon-scented cleaning product. There is just something really plasticy about this tea, even the flavor has an unfortunate fake note to it. I usually like Twinings’ teas, but this one is just a miss for me.

-Standard teabag.
-Teabag smells very lightly of artificial lemon. Tea liquor aroma is of a strong fake lemon scent.
-Tea liquor is a cloudy brown color.
-Weak and artificial bergamot flavor with a fake lemony finish.
-Best with milk and sweetener.
-Awful tea. Weak flavor with an odd artificial note.

Oldie but a goody. The perfect, quick companion for late-night binge-reading for class. The book I’m reading is The Enchantress of Florence by Salman Rushdie, so I can’t complain.

Lemony, orangey, not very complicated, and caffeine-free. I must try the caffeinated version of this sometime, because I bet it tastes slightly less chemically, the way that decaffeinated tea leaves tend to.

Another one that I’m now out of. I definitely highly recommend. It’s a very, very nice decaf tea!

I don’t have a ton of decaf teas – usually I’ll resteep my tea from the morning for a less-caffeinated version, but I thought this tea would be handy to have at work. The flavor is identical to the regular Lady Grey, as far as I can tell. Very nice!

Cofftea

Their decaf chai is pretty amazing.

DUH, I accidentally grabbed the decaf version! Oh well, maybe that’s the universe telling me to cut down on caffeine. I hope it tastes the same! I tried this tea after a friend told me about it, she said it’s one of her favorites. I was looking for an easy bagged tea to use at work when I’m in a hurry and hopefully this fits the bill. I guess it is a little late for caffeine anyways…

I’m having a little treat with my tea today — macarons! I splurged a little to make up for working late. (Not that I’m working hard, here I am logging a tea). One huge plus for this tea, before I even try it, is that it is so cheap! I’ve been on a luxury tea kick and I almost laughed out loud at how cheap this box was. I’m hoping it can replace Anastasia by Kusmi as my favorite black tea blend — I can’t afford that much per box all the time.

First thoughts: this is a dusty tea bag. It smells good, though! When I started steeping it I smelled Bergamot strongly. Macaron break while I wait? Don’t mind if I do…

Steeped, waiting for it to cool. It does not smell awesome now. Gosh, I’ve written so much and haven’t gotten to the tea yet? Is anyone still reading?

Hmmmmmmmm… this tea is… a little disappointing. I’m going to let it cool down a little more and see if this helps. I had a tea recently that tasted much better after cooling down a little!

It does taste better a little cooler. I’m not tasting the citrus notes which drew me to this blend. It tastes like a standard earl grey to me — black tea and bergamot. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a great mix, but I was hoping for more from this Lady. This is in no way a replacement for my beloved Anastasia!

i am different I don’t steep the tea too long unlike most people it is a unique earl gray that i just adore loose leaf option and i like to be able to drink and not have it too hot for me :D

You know, if things changed tomorrow and there was no way to get fancy specialty teas, and Twinings were among my options, I could probably live with that. (Probably.) In this case, this tastes like the rough equivalent of Lipton with lemon and bergamot. It isn’t bad. It’s uncomplicated. I wish I had something smarter to say about this. I will drink it.

Lipton! Totally. I guess it’ll do in a pinch, but I might put it out in the staffroom for other people — not sure yet.

A friend gifted this to me because it’s one of her favorites. I don’t care for it. It just has too much lemon and not enough tea taste. Perhaps I would feel different if it was loose leaf. The tea bag was typical dusty bits of leaf.

This will always be a staple in my collection. It is definitely my go-to tea when I am running out of others or when I can’t decide what I want. I think the flavor is also great considering it’s a decaf tea. I love this tea plain just as much as I like it with a splash of milk.

I like this tea in the later morning, when I still want to be drinking something hot and invigorating, but don’t want the additional caffeine. The citrus fruit is bright and comforting.
