3 Tasting Notes
An invigorating mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The flavor is not overpowering or spicy. It’s actually quite smooth and refreshing. I attempted to steep it a second time, but didn’t get much out of it. Oh well, still very tasty. I also own the Harney & Sons Earl Grey. It might be my imagination, but both teas I have by this company seem much more mellow than I was expecting. The tins are lovely though.

Preparation
Not disappointed. I was introduced to kava root through a kava bar where I live, where it is served as a very strong, semi-thick drink. In this pure concentrated form, kava does not taste very good, but it pleasantly anesthetizes your face and mouth, gives you a slight high, and is very relaxing. This tea definitely retains that kava flavor, but the added spices make it considerably less bitter and actually pretty tasty. It made me sleepy, as I wanted it to, and gave me just a very slight tingle in my mouth.
Flavors: Licorice
Preparation
I bought this decaf version on accident, but then I was glad because I needed a nice Earl Grey type tea that I could drink at night, instead of my regular herbal time-for-bed stuff. The soft citrus smell is heavenly. I could drink this forever. A really lovely variant of Earl Grey.
