Ok, I must start by saying I am not crazy about this brand anymore…sorry The Republic of Tea, but tasting other tea brands out there, your teas just don’t taste that fresh.

Taste: The Ginger Peach Green Tea is pleasant enough; it does have a nice aroma and the taste of the Ginger is soft and the Peach is a hint overpowering; it tastes more of peach than anything else…where’s the snap of ginger? Where’s the vegetal, effervescent taste of actual green tea? If you are just starting your venture into teas, green and otherwise, than this is a good starting point, but if you already have a developed palate then this would seem a step backwards. It’s a “good” tea, not an “exceptional” one or brand.

I was really excited to try Ginger Peach Green Tea by TROT because they say that it’s one of their most popular teas. The smell of the tea is slightly peach, slightly something… gross? I can’t really describe just WHAT the smell is, but I am not fond of it. I guess I was looking for a bit more peach. The taste is actually a bit more subtle than I expected, and it is drinkable.. but for me, it’s just that. I didn’t notice anything special in the flavor.. and wouldn’t go out of my way to try this one again.

Wonderful taste, it reminds me of summer and the sweet smell of fresh peaches. I love this tea! I usually drink this late afternoon for a pick me up :)

I got this as a sampler at the SF International Tea Festival. My stomach is feeling a little off this morning, and this sounded good.

The leaf gives off a strong peachy flavor. The tea is sweet, with strong peach notes and a little fruit punch at the end of the sip. I’m reminded of a fruit salad that’s heavy on the peach. I’ll bet this would be good iced too!

My stomach has calmed down a little too. Hopefully I’ll be hungry later.

Currently sipping on my first cup of Ginger Peach and oh my… it’s wonderful!! I’m defenitly going to pick some up from World Market this weekend!! :)

EDIT: Ok… I traveled to World Market and I picked up a canister of Ginger Peach and can someone tell me why it smells like Windex?? What is wrong with my nose?!? The tea my boss gave me did NOT smell like Windex. :( I’ve left the lid off for a while… in hopes that the smell will disappear and so far it hasn’t. Ugh!!

A little grassy, but not necessarily in a bad way. I can taste the peach, but it’s somewhat fake tasting. Overall enjoyable.

Got this as a free sample w/ the catalog.

I just don’t really care for this, or perhaps flavored teas in general.

I drink this almost every day. The flavor is light and delicious, and it smells so good you’ll sit with your cup right under your nose! One of my favorites.

Recommended brewing time is 1-3 minutes. I typically steep for about a minute or so, and it is strong enough. It has a subtle peach scent. The peach is less noticeable as I drink it, with the ginger coming in a bit more (but still subtle). It is very much a green tea.

Given to me as a gift, it has become a favorite.
