9 Tasting Notes
My mouth is pleased.
I have a habit of steeping my teas in to hot of water, but it didn’t seem to do much damage to this herbal blend. The color is a beautiful deep red, the taste is slightly sweet and fruity. I have to say I probably enjoy this tea over ice more than hot.
I am trying to kick a soda addiction, so in the evenings I need something decaf, fruity and sweet. This tea may be it.
Preparation
Meh. I’ve had better tea; which is sad because I do enjoy Blackberries and Sage. Apparently, my love for blackberries is eating them, while my love for sage is burning it.
Republic of Tea: it’s not you, it’s me.
Preparation
Holy crap this is tasty. I’ve never had a Pu-Erh before but I wholeheartedly approve of this one. Granted, this may be mostly because of the ginger.
Having only steeped it for the recommended time of 2.5 minutes, there is absolutely no bitterness. The aroma is lovely, with the ginger slightly tickling my nose. Strong (but not overpowering) ginger highlights this delicious tea.
Preparation
I feel I may be getting close to oversteeping this tea at 4 minutes. Granted, I’m pretty new to reviewing tea, so maybe this is normal.
I like this tea. Slightly fruity, good smell. It’s about in the middle as far as the caffeine index reads on the side of the packaging.
