From Taylors of Harrogate

Yorkshire Gold Tea is a blend of some of the world’s finest teas from countries such as India, Sri Lanka and Africa,
and has a rich, refreshing taste.
It makes a rich brown liquid with a malty taste. This is a very popular English Breakfast type tea, and makes a stronger tea best enjoyed with milk and sugar to taste.

I’ve been taing this tea for a week now as an english breakfast tea, with a hint of mil and a dessert spoon of honey.

I’m a red version lover of this tea, simply amazing, so I wanted to taste this one.

The thing is that’s too wea for me to do a propper english breakfast, it’s more a more delicate tea, with less caffeine, velvety and weaker. espite all that, I thing that’s a really good choice for someone that wants just this.

I’ll have to taste it alone to see how it tastes without mil and honey.

This… This was the best black tea, bagged or otherwise, that I’ve ever had. Oh my lanta. Drank it with a splash of skim. It tasted… it tasted like brownies. I don’t know how else to describe it. Chocolatey and earthy and rich and creamy and comforting.

It. Was. So. Good.
I need to buy some ASAP.

I bought this, since I was missing an afternoon tea shop I visited in Denver. There I had brisk, lush Scottish Breakfast. I thought this tea would fulfill some of that feeling.

Maybe it’s going from loose leaf to bagged, but this tea was just blah to me. Just astringent and one note. I only had one cup, and decided to use the rest of the tea to make for kombucha.

For a bagged tea, it’ll do. I think I would prefer other “grocery store” British blends to this.

I’m not well versed in actual British teas, so this one was a shot in the dark when I was at World Market. I’ll have this one when I feel like having something strong, with milk and sugar. As close as I’ll ever get to a “cuppa.”

This is what a morning cuppa should be. I actually crave it in the morning! So malty (which is one reason why I prefer this to PG Tips — there is a bit of a maltiness and less of an astringency that I like). Note: This is coming from someone who is more of a green tea drinker – I’m not a big black tea person. I’ve been picking it up in the English import section of my supermarket and I really like it for those busy mornings.

My favorite tea… Every morning I drank it, it felt great. It gave me the buzz I needed and made me very happy.

Then, it happened. Cheapening. Couldn’t believe it. MY YORKSHIRE? YORKSHIRE GOLD? LOWER QUALITY? Sadly, this is true.
I told myself, “it can’t be, no it can’t be.” And denied it. But, all good things come to an end.

Yorkshire, my love, you filled me with unimaginable happiness. You made me smile with every sip.
Now, you only make me tired.

Goodbye, Yorkshire, my dear. I knew you well.

Theatrics aside, flavour is flat, doesn’t have the kick, bags are much lower quality.
It just tastes bleh. I’ve moved to Tapal Danedar because its just so much smoother with the caffeine of Yorkshire.
