From T2

Description:
Fermented South African rooibos brews a brilliant coppery red infusion that is beautiful to behold. Malty, tasty aromas transform into a smooth, mellow taste filled with biscuit flavour and a light, fresh, finish. A fantastic black tea alternative that is caffeine free for all day and night refreshment. Fantastic iced with lemon slices in summer.

Brew:
1 teaspoon per 200mls, brew 3-5 minutes in water at 100 degrees Celsius.

Serve:
As is with a slice of lemon, or with a splash of milk and a drizzle of honey. Enjoy in summer iced with lemon slices.

This was something I drank yesterday but I’ve been slack on reviewing my newer teas lately. I got this in the T2 sampler I picked up in Paris. Most of the teas are very plain or not my thing, but I can’t turn down a new rooibos to try.

This is not a great rooibos. It has a lot of the typical sweet woody flavours, but I found it lacked the honey flavour/scent and seemed overly plain. Maybe stale? The leaves were also pale brown instead of red-brown with golden hues so I’m wondering if it is just old. Regardless, it wasn’t as good as I had hoped. The other teas from T2 have been quite solid, fresh, and flavourful.

A nice, solid, dependable Rooibos. A staple in my pantry, drunk with a dash of milk (and some honey if it’s treat time).

I prefer rooibos without all the extra flavours, so this is definitely the best I’ve tried so far. It’s so simplistic but so easy to drink, no matter what time of day it is. Apparently it tastes amazing iced, which I have no trouble believing, though I haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. Nothing fancy, just feels good to drink it!
