From t Leaf T

Tastes like the classic creamy custard dessert with a burnt caramel crust.

Revenge of the dried yoghurt pieces! The common ingredient in all my most hated teas, I’m not sure if they are the problem but I’ll go ahead and blame them anyway. All you get from this is “burnt”. And not the caramel kind usually found on creme brulee, more like if a bunch of hoodlums committed arson on a building that had a few ramekins of creme brulee sitting in one of the kitchens. The aroma of the leaves, the aroma of the brewed tea, the taste in your mouth with or without milk: all overwhelmingly burnt.
I’m really disappointed in this because creme brulee is one of my favourite desserts. If only it had a creamy caramel flavour with just a hint of that burnt taste, it’d be perfect!

Contrary to the other reviews… I actually like this one, haha. I didn’t really get any of the burnt taste – maybe the amount of milk I had in it cancelled it out? Not my favourite dessert tea around, but I think I would get this one again. I definitely liked the black tea base in this as opposed to the rooibos (though the DT version of this is also pretty good).

Nice but not outstanding. Just finished off the last of this sample. I’m also getting notes of very weak coffee in there, burnt caramel from the creme brûlée flavouring. I really want to try their “mmm caramel” flavoured tea now and compare. I love dessert teas but will keep on searching for the wow factor.

First review so here goes…. Both me and my partner tried this tea, first with just water and then with milk. Neither of us was impressed, although it did taste better once milk was added.

There wasn’t a lot of flavour at all and left a funny taste in my mouth
