From Steeped Tea

Delicious and subtle with a fresh aftertaste. It’s even more satisfying than dessert! Contains nuts.

So, while I have been using up a lot of tea, I’m afraid to say that I’ve also been buying just as much. I’ve been trying to decrease my tea collection but it doesn’t seem to be working, lol.
ALTHOUGH what I’ve realized is is that lately I’ve been drinking lots of green tea (as per usual) as well as making more tea lattes with flavoured rooibos blends since I’ve been at home a lot (work is slowing down due to budget freeze at my main job) and when I’m at home I have the equipment and time to drink tea lattes. What I haven’t been drinking is herbal teas (which comprises half of my collection) so in order to decrease my collection what I need to focus on is making pitchers of iced herbals to use them up (which I have). Luckily, between my husband and I we go through a pitcher every few days (and therefore use up about a quarter cup of loose leaf tea every time- yay!).

So, in conclusion, I do not feel guilty about buying 6 new teas from steeped tea to try out because:
-I have been using up a lot of different kinds of tea
-Tea lattes use up A LOT of tea (10 tsp per 16 oz latte)
-The 6 teas I bought are all 25 gram samples that came in a tea collection, which means I’m only going to get 1.5 lattes out of each sample

Anywho, onto the tasting note:

I of course made this tea into a tea latte: used 10 tsp (18 grams) of it in about 1 cup of boiling water. steeped for 4 min, then mixed it in hot, frothed milk. I also added a touch of vanilla agave I’m trying to use up. Overall this is nicely (not overly) sweet, and I taste more almond extract and vanilla notes than toffee. Regardless, I still like it though, and when I get low on my “latte teas” (different rooibos teas) I will definitely re purchase. Yum.

noms! sounds delicious!

TheKesser

I never thought to try this one as a latte! I have this one too and I quite enjoy it myself. I could see this one staying a staple in my cupboard.

Kristal

This is very good! TheKesser, you should try it as a latte (if that’s your thing) and let me know what you think :)

I can see this as being a staple (at least latte wise) for me as well :)
