The last time I got this, I received the bottom of the barrel. It’s mostly rooibos. :)

Still, the flavours are nice, especially when I mix a little Chicory Dickory Dock into it. It would be Even Better if I had some of that coconut creamer I make, but I’ve been lazy and tired and don’t have any in the fridge. Almond milk does in a pinch!

Preparation
Boiling 8 min or more 3 tsp 16 OZ / 473 ML
NayLynn

How do you make your coconut creamer? Do I just google it?

OMGsrsly

Coconut milk, coconut oil, and egg yolks, with a little maple syrup or honey if you want it sweet. Make it like mayo. :) Sounds frightening, tastes amazing. There are recipes out there. I just throw stuff into my blender.

NayLynn

Yes, it does sound a little frightening but I will trust you try it soon. Thanks!

OMGsrsly

Some recipes also add a couple tsp coconut oil.

OMGsrsly

Oh. I just use egg yolks. I like the way it mixes with my tea better.

NayLynn

Thanks, I was just searching for it on my phone and had not found any with just the yolk yet. I will use your modifications w/this recipie later today.

mmmm having a cup of this while hanging out on the balcony watching the rain roll in. dark gloomy clouds, bringing the fresh scent of rain to clean away the day’s dirt and mess. i adore rain..sadly ontario just doesn’t do rainstorms like alberta…the kind where you just want to run in to the middle of the street and dance in the rain…cool droplets of rain, splattering on the hot, dry sidewalks, sizzling as they hit the pavement until the rain begins to overtake the concrete jungle…pooling water, as it travels across the slate grey…searching for a way into the soil…

caile

That description makes me wish it was raining. :)

Nicole

Agreed. Excellent description.

Terri HarpLady

I want it to rain in St. Louis too. We keep getting predictions for rain, & even some thunder, but sadly, no water falling from the sky. My garden is thirsty, as is my soul.

MzPriss

Mine too Terri – we’ve been in a drought here in Texas for years now. I have a few flowers and I water my trees and that’s it. I hope you’re feeling better.

Terri HarpLady

I’m getting there. I told my folks next year I’ll bring them here for their anniversary.

TeaLady441

I’m so jealous you get to watch the storms. I tried to go outside but TK and I were absolutely drenched in no time and she just wanted to stomp in puddles. On the road. With the cars. So I brought her back while she kicked and streamed and wistfully looked at the lightning from the basement window. :P

Kaylee

Aww, Cavo, that sounds adorable.

Sil

Cavo – need to find a back alley or something close heh no cars, lots of puddles.

TeaLady441

Yeah, I do! It might be a bit of walk though – no alleys around! :P

OMGsrsly was generous enough to send me a sample of this wonderful tea.
It’s not quite a chai, it’s not quite a dessert tea, it’s a little like Cha Yen Thai but this one might actually be a little better.
It’s sweet chocolate, with exotic spices. Really nice, well balance, interesting. Thumbs up. I like it. Thank you OMGsrsly!!

OMGsrsly

:) It works steeped in milk, too. And as a base for hot chocolate. And it steeps more than once.

Sil

ooooh….

Every time I saw this reviewed, I would get really excited about it because everyone makes it sound so good but when I read the ingredients I lose interest because it is filled with a whole bunch of things I tend to avoid. However, when I was visiting Sil, she have me a sample so I could finally try it for myself. Sipping it now, I want to love it. I really, really do but I am getting a whole lot of cardamom, a little but of dark chocolate, and not much else. It’s not bad but it’s not something I personally would stock. Nonetheless, thank you Sil for the opportunity to see for myself what this tea is all about and I am especially grateful because I know how much of a fan you are :)

Courtney

I always have the exact same reaction! Sil makes it sounds amazingly delicious, then I check the ingredients and lose interest.

Marzipan

I’m pretty over red rooibos.

VariaTEA

Well I will say the rooibos doesn’t have a heavy presence at all which I know is something you dislike

Sil

haha yeah it’s not a rooibos tea…but, as variaTEA mentioned, if you don’t like the other ingredients, you won’t like this one :)

I’ve heard good things about this one.
It IS good.
I’m so glad I asked Sil to snag some for me when she was in BC.
