I really love the way rooibos steeps up so beautifully dark. Adding milk or cream just makes it so luscious. This is a nice chocolate peppermint tea, both flavors equally present. I wouldn’t say it’s special, but I’m enjoying it. Strangely enough, as it cools there is a fruity note to the blend that’s adding some depth. It’s strawberry, I think? It seems like it would be out of place, but I really like it! Bumping the rating up a bit for the strawberry surprise. :D

This is such a common blend that I never would have purchased it on its own, but it was included in the Memphis Medley sampler I bought, so I ended up trying it. Like pretty much everything else I’ve tried from My Cup of Tea, this blend was excellent! The peppermint tends to overwhelm the chocolate in other chocolate mint rooibos teas I’ve tried, but this one has a distinctive creamy chocolate flavor, which comes out even more with a bit of milk. This company just keeps impressing me!

Samurai Travelling Tea Box – Tea #30

Thought that I’d gotten to all the My Cup of Tea blends in the box, but then I found this one so I decided to try it too!

It’s good – maybe my favourite from them so far? It’s hard to get crazy innovated with a mint chocolate profile, especially on a rooibos base, but the flavour execution is REALLY nice. It’s quite rich/intense and while the chocolate is creamy milk chocolate to a tee what I’m actually loving the most is this thick and cooling peppermint flavour that feels a bit more like peppermint oil or extract. So refreshing!

Sil

you having any trouble with reviewing teas? ie button clicked nothing happens forever

VariaTEA

I have this a lot on my phone and then I go to my tealog and I have it logged but with no note

Shae

Did you find the blueberry one? I thought you might like it since you told me about Blueberry Jam.

Roswell Strange

@Sil – no issues today, but was having the problem a few days ago.

@Shae – I find it after I wrote this note, and added it to my pile of stuff to try. I think my initial rummage was very rushed; I will comb through all the samples again.

OMGsrsly

I have that issue too VariaTEA! Happens on my phone and iPad, which I’m doing most of my computing on these days…

Sometimes it happens to me. I click the button, but nothing happens. Then, after few minutes it appears. Or sometimes not. I never close down the tab with tasting note, so I just click edit the tasting note in tealog and then it works like a charm. Maybe it has got something with some background improvements?
