Mmmm. The vanilla taste comes through pretty strong, but doesn’t overpower the black tea. It’s super vanilla-y but not too creamy. I think I would enjoy drinking this in the winter because something about the aftertaste makes me think of a gentle snowfall.

Advent tea!
This one is nicely creamy vanilla with a base that isn’t bitter or astringent. A nice addition to the holiday season to remind me of baking and vanilla flavored cookies. Thanks for sending it Lexie!

Day 1 of my advent from Inkling! I audibly gasped when I took my first sip of this tea. It has an incredibly lovely vanilla flavor, that seems to be surprisingly difficult to find. Really enjoyed this at the end of my work day yesterday.

After listening to Jenni King rave about this tea for years (literally!) I finally caved and got my hands on some. And she wasn’t wrong…this is one of the best vanilla teas I’ve ever tried! Not quite as good as Whispering Pines Golden Orchid, but perhaps a close second. The vanilla flavor is rich and natural and compliments the base tea well. It’s delicious straight, but milk takes it to the next level and I’m betting it would make a pretty awesome sweetened tea latte as well, though I haven’t tried that yet. I’m down to the last couple teaspoons of my 2oz tin and will almost certainly be restocking.

Another simple tea – strong, rich vanilla flavor in a delicious black tea base. Although strong, the vanilla isn’t overpowering or sweet. Although Amethyst’s Gold (52Teas) is still occupying the top spot in my list of favorite vanilla black teas, this is a worthy substitute. It’s certainly easier to get my hands on, so I’ll be adding this to my list of teas to repurchase.

Brews up a nice dark amber. Smells strongly of vanilla in the bag, and brews into a nice calm vanilla blanketing a lovely black tea. Simple but very nice.

I absolutely love this tea. The ceylon is pronounced and the vanilla really comes through. It needs nothing, no milk or sugar. A beautiful blend!
