This is a very interesting “herbal tea”.
The tea can be brewed/steeped for up to 60 minutes, but I only did mine for 6 minutes per the instructions for a light brew on the package. My tasting notes reflect this.
This herbal tea has a slight phosphoric taste, but I do not say that negatively, it tastes somewhat buttery but with some distinct mineral notes. Perhaps what shocked me the most were the notes of green tea that I got from this, yes this does actually slightly resemble legitimate tea. Given that Mamaki is caffeine free, this makes the herbal tea a solid replacement for true tea when I am trying to limit caffeine intake.
