From Lupicia

MUSCAT is a luscious blend of black tea scented with juicy muscat grapes. The tea’s cool, refreshing flavor is ideal for making iced tea. It’s a perfect choice when you want to brighten your mood. This is one of our most popular items and will make a great gift.

2nd tea from the Lupicia Happy Bag.

My most favorite juice in the world is Welsh’s White Grape-Peach (The one without the peach is terrific too.)

Sadly I’ve yet to find a grape flavored tea that I really like. This tea is ok, might be much better as an iced tea though. There is an odd after taste but it goes away to quickly for me to be able to define it.

Sample from Lupicia. It has a wonderful scent, just like wine. Very smooth taste and not too sweet and fruity. I would definitely drink again.

Lupicia knows how to do grape and this is no exception but there are other blends/bases that utilize the muscat flavor better (muscat oolong and jingle bells come to mind). I blame their black base which just seems to be too overpowering for flavored blends. 266.

Book of Tea #2/100

I’ve had Lupicia’s Muscat a couple times now, so thought I’d experiment a bit with this tea. Sadly, I discovered that it’s not nearly as tasty with milk and sugar as one might expect. I guess it’s just not bold enough. It was okay, and still pretty grapey in aroma, but the flavour was kind of muddled. Oh well! Had to be tried (stupid work and their easy availability of tea add-ins).

Received this as a teabag in my Lupicia Happy Bag. Too bad they only sent one. This is quite good and sweet, tasty. It is just slightly tart, just enough to balance out the sweetness. I think I am going to have to buy this, or perhaps the decaf version of it the next time I order from Lupicia.

I brewed one teabag in approx eight ounces of 190 degree water for 3 min.

Had a wonderful time on my first Lupicia store visit. Received a tea sachet of this while my purchase. It smells so good. Every time I smell it it takes me to Hawai’i. Does anyone else get a scent of coffee? It’s weird but I also get a slight smell of coffee. I like the smell of coffee but I don’t like the taste… Anyway, I’ve let mine over steep a bit. Should really just time my tea from now on cause I have a terrible sense of time and I get distracted by my cute baby easily. So the muscat is covered up a bit more by the black tea but it is still a good cup. I’m looking forward to trying this cold too!

Sometimes when we do group orders with the crew here, we seem to randomly pick things that we wouldn’t normally try on our own but with three + people splitting it…it’s no big deal lol this was one of those things where cavo said… i want that! split with me? and i said…sure! because really..why not.

I tried this as a cold brew first since something about the idea of a grape tea sounded refreshing as a cold brew. I was right. I really like the way this one turned out. The base didn’t over power the flavouring but it’s clearly grape TEA and not grape juice.

This is an interestingly flavored tea. It’s probably my first time with a grape black tea. It’s not bad I’m just not sure I agree with the pairing. It’s surprisingly smooth but doesn’t really rise above the other Lupicia teas available.

Iced

A sample I received for an in-store purchase. I’m a stone’s throw away from an actual, physical Lupicia store, which might explain their overrepresentation in my cupboard!

This one was unfortunately not that great. The aroma is pretty nice—sweet muscat grape, nothing else, not too strong or preserved-smelling. But the taste is decidedly acidic, and everything else, be it tea or grape flavor, gets lost or was weak to begin with. At least the finish is fairly good.

I had a higher rating for this before from a previous experience, but I think that must have been for muscat oolong, from back when I wasn’t keeping careful track.

Lupcia’s Muscat is one of my all-time favorite teas. The grape flavor is amazing. I usually like it with milk and a little honey, but I’ve also had it iced and it’s really great.
