Wild n White Wild-Berry

And another one from the puerh plus box, this thing is keeping me mucho busy!

I brewed this up in my gaiwan and I actually skipped the rinse on this, the tea was so clean and light, i didnt feel it needed it. Also with all the herbs in this I didnt want to throw away their flavor.

First thing I notice is that I get a strong strawberry and citrus flavor. Im having a bit of trouble placing all the flavors here, but I do get a little bit of hay and Im guessing that is the base puerh leaves.

This is an interesting tea, another one I probably wouldnt have tried on my own if it hadnt been in the box, its really good light and refreshing, excellent for a summer tea. I wonder how this would be as an ice tea.

When it comes to Pu Erh buds I can take them or leave them, but I haven’t had them with any sort of fruit flavour before. I do like the sound of mixing them with strawberry. Plus this is my first Liquid Proust tea, though I have placed an order today for some. The blends sound wonderful!

In raw form this smells sweet and fruity, specifically strawberry (juicy) but also tart like cranberry. The blend is light and fluffy looking but I can confirm I spot the Pu Erh buds, marigold leaves and cornflower petals at a quick glance.

Once steeped a golden yellow liquid is produced that bares a tart berry scent with lemon.

Flavour wise the first few sips are lemony and slightly sour with a lingering sherbet effect after taste. The berry comes through behind the lemon but the blend itself is smooth and quite light. Also becomes sweeter for the after taste.

The flavours still remain true now I’m half way down the cup though it’s perhaps more of a medium strength at this point.

Overall I’m impressed. While it wasn’t berry enough for my personal liking I do like lemon and in balance it was rather pleasing. It got approval from my husband too. If anything this has increased my enthusiasm for receiving my order and trying more of what Liquid Proust has to offer.

I have never had a white puerh before, and I really enjoyed this. It’s very smooth.
I’m not getting a ton of fruit flavor, but it’s just enough. It’s a very forgiving tea. I went away for a while (10-15 minutes), came back and added a little more water and it was delicious.

Thanks for this one, Stephanie! It’s the first I get to try from Liquid Proust teas. Sadly, I wish it were any other one since I’m not usually a fan of the white pu-erh. This one tasted better than I remember a white pu-er tasting though. There doesn’t seem to be much fruit here, maybe hints of strawberry and lots of sweet that I think is completely natural! I also get lemon which might be the tea itself or flavor. The white pu-erh tastes like a very light white tea, which is a lot better than the flavor I remember from white pu-erh.

a decent tea:

when i smell the leaves dry, they smell like herbs and spices. :)

when i smell the leaves wet, the smell is intensified.

when i smell the brewed tea, i smell lemon, strawberry, herbs and spices.

when i taste the tea i taste lemons, strawberries, herbs and spices.

the color of the brewed tea is a bright yellow.

the smells of the tea remind me of the lemon scented playdough by tuti fruity i used to play with as a kid.

i rate this a 75 because its a decent tea but i have never really been into herbal tea blends

This wild blackberry taste that I put into this tea is a bit confusing as far as figuring out the flavor goes. Honestly, I remember flavoring the white bud by itself over a month ago and realizing it went well together; but then I added flower because it looks pretty :)

I’m curious if this berry flavor mixture would work on jasmine pearls… I am already thinking the answer is no. Jasmine doesn’t sound like it would mix with a tart fruit.
