Yesterday and today were days of fairly crappy bagged teas, courtesy of hosting nursing interviews. I’m definitely looking forward to being back at my desk tomorrow. Lipton is the standard fare, and they’re okay, but I was getting a bit tired of those. I tried this one today, but sadly wasn’t all that impressed. It smells gorgeous — a really lovely, fairly accurate berry scent, reminiscent of blackcurrant and maybe raspberry. Brewed, it just tastes like hibiscus, more or less. I wasn’t really expecting anything else, and it’s by no means a bad tea. The flavouring isn’t hopelessly tart, and it’s definitely drinkable. It was a hot drink, at the end of the day, and that’s what I needed more than anything. It gets points for that.

That’s a really great idea! We don’t have any of those ice dispensers on campus but they do have chilled filtered water available… BRILLIANT! Thank you thank you! I won’t feel so restricted in my on campus tea choices anymore. I am, however, still tempted to bring a thermometer with me… probably not the best idea- you should have seen my flatmates’ faces when they saw a thermometer in the kettle.

I can’t even describe the taste. But it will be stuck in your mouth for a looong time after drinking. It’s like sickly sweet beetroot. Ew.
