White Tea with Island Mango and Peach Flavor

So I brought this to work with me. We bought a box and my wife decided she was not a fan. I’m giving it another chance. Now that I am overcoming my aversion to white because I think it was operator error. The dry leaf is not terrible in aroma. Steeped it for a minute. It’s a little bit better this time however the lemongrass seems to rule supreme of this cup. So I guess I’m going from blech to meh on this one. Still not as tasty as the blueberry pomegranate white from Lipton.

This smells awesome…then again I’m a fan of mango and peach. The peach scent might come thru a tad more than the mango but not by much. It’s a true white tea color. It’s also flavorful for a white tea…moreso than most I have tried esp bagged. The longer it steeps the more you can smell the mango. It’s weird but it a good way that within the same sip you can taste the peach to start and by the end of the sip you get the mango. You can taste both main fruit flavors but can still tell it’s supposed to be a white tea. It’s one of those teas that make you think but you can still enjoy it. I would try this again.

Given to me at work. Made the mistake of looking at the date on the box. Good grief – amateurs… Even expired this was actually pretty good. It smells nice. The taste of the mango and peach can be easily separated and the flavorings don’t hide the tea flavor. The tea pieces are pretty small but a lot larger than usual tea fannings. Nicely done.

Reasonable, but not notable. Despite loving peach and mango this tea is just not all that. I might try it again one day, but again another box of tea that has been taken to work.

I like this tea, but I often forget that I have the teabag in my cup and I let it steep far too long and it gets very very bitter. Up to that point, however, I really do like it.

The mango, peach and white tea flavor were all good but mild. However, I couldn’t taste the Island flavor at all!

All in all it is a great tasting tea but I would like it even better if the fruit flavors were more prominent.

I’m very sorry this was my last pyramid ‘bag’. I really like the green, not-quite-floral clean taste this has. It’s a light, clean bright tasting cup of white tea, with peach-to-nectarine notes. I drank it today to compare it to the other Lipton Peach Mango pyramid. This one is MUCH better, and I wish I could find it again. Maybe it’s in another part of the country, like the one I’m comparing it to is. Too bad this one isn’t here in the Chicago area. I would buy more of it again in a heartbeat!

Samples Only TTB

I’m not 100% sure the tea I have is white tea. I am not sure if it’s green or herbal. I don’t think it’s black. Regardless as it came from the TTB I don’t have the box so I can’t look at ingredients to enter it somewhere else… so assuming it’s similar enough to this tea.

Anyway… Whatever kind of tea madametj put in the Sample TTB… this is great.
It’s a Lipton bag, so I almost didn’t try it, but after the Blackberry Vanilla surprised me, I actually had to give the other pyramid bag a go.
WOW! I am glad I did. This little bag gave me low expectations, but much to my surprise…

It smells like a Peachy-o in a cup!!! and tastes like one too!

I added extra sugar just to indulge in my childhood because what I have here is not tea. it is a cup of PEACHY-O.

Surely you guys have had them before eh? They’re horrible little corn syrup candy chews I had as a kid before I knew dyes and HFCS were bad for me and I don’t eat them anymore but DAMNIT IF I CAN APPROXIMATE THEM IN HEALTHY TEA FORMAT WITH A LITTLE EXTRA SUGAR I AM FREAKING GAME!

Just sitting here hovering over this cup is a delight. It smells of childhood happiness. Reminds me of happy times on the front porch of my grandparent’s house sharing a bag of such candies… And it reminds me of real peaches only in the vaguest round-about manner, but that’s okay.

I’m not sure why this flavor came out of a tea meant to taste like peach and mango… but it made me happy. SO BE IT. :)

This tea is good, could be better, I think I may have overheated the water or not steeped long enough. It is very good still. Just a bit off. I should try to remember to steep longer, less hot water, boil in a kettle, not microwave.

The fruityness enhances the white and green tea’s subtle flavor, rather than masking or overpowering it. The Lipton pyramid bags the best quality tea I can find at a chain supermarket. This one is my favorite so far. Absolutely wonderful with a teaspoon of honey.
