Earl Grey Polish Blend N°18

It took a few cups, but this tea really began to grow on me. At first I didn’t really think it tasted like an earl grey, but as the tea cooled I was able to separate out some of the flavors and really appreciate the additions of lemon and lime. This is a huge accomplishment for me because I am absolutely not a citrus fan and generally turn my nose up at anything with citrus in it. This is officially tea #2 that includes lemon that I will drink. I’ve actually become rather addicted to tea #1, so I suppose I am making progress in my dislike of all things citrus.

Anyway, I thought this tea was a little bitter when hot, but it all evened out as the tea began to cool. I’ve decided to pull this tea from the box, the citrus really makes my sore throat feel better. This cold I have just won’t go away.

Just okay. I don’t mind drinking it but it isn’t thrilling me. The bergamot is light, which is great because there is Ceylon in the base and I don’t like bergamot on Ceylon. It is pretty smooth I suppose, and doesn’t need milk or sugar. I don’t mind drinking it but I won’t be buying any.

Thanks to Nicole and this lovely sample she sent in her Christmas card, I was finally able to try a Kusmi tea.

I was quite busy at work while drinking this, but I very much noticed how smooth it was. It is very easy to drink. I seem to find bergamot to be soothing. This really makes me interested to try more of Kusmi’s takes on earl grey.

Hi there tea frens!

Sorry for the short hiatus, my mother was staying with me for the past two weeks, so I didn’t really touch my computer. She’s the type of person who’s really bad at just sitting down and relaxing, so we ended up doing a bunch of yardwork, gardening, and other assorted around-the-house type tasks. Needless to say, I wasn’t too terribly upset when she flew back home yesterday morning. XD

Anyway, just finished off a cold brew pitcher of this one, and it was delightful! I don’t remember being terribly impressed with this one hot, so maybe it just shines as a cold tea because of the lime. Hot lime is always a bit odd for me.

It’s a nice mix of lime and lemon with a very mellow and subtly earthy base. The bergamot is present but not overpowering, which I really like, as I can taste the other citrus flavors well. Would consider reordering it if I wasn’t drowning in tea already. Oh, and they probably don’t even carry it anymore after the rebranding…

had this tea for breakfast yesterday. It was nice for a smoked salmon and egg. i was thinking a lot what to make but only EG came to my mind. The base is generic chinese black Keeman? with bright lemon -lime flavors. resteeps well at 6min
