The tea has an antiphlogistic, antispasmodic and epithelium regenerating effect. Decoction is proposed internally for treating gastric and duodenum ulcers, rinsing mucous membrane of mouth and throat. Externally it is proposed for healing wounds, ulcers, dermatitis, haemorrhoids.

Seriously though, the quality is quite nice. I let it steep for quite a while, until the water cooled down enough to drink without discomfort. The flavour was mild and soothing. Looking at the contents, the blossoms have a nice yellow colour, almost like corn meal.

Herbaria has quite the assortment of teas available, so I gave the Marigold Blossom tea a try, and didn’t find it to my liking. It left my throat a bit dry, and the flavour and aroma didn’t really stand out. I suppose as a herbal tea, it can be consumed for the herbal qualities it’s noted for.
