A sample from Cameron B! Thanks so much! This is one of those blends from David’s I have wanted to try for years. I used half the sample, a little over a teaspoon. I’m glad I did, because the entire sample might have been cloying. This is sweet sweet coconut. Any more sweetness would have been too much! I can hardly tell there is anything here other than coconut and sweeteners but it’s not a bad cup. It fits for a dessert blend that will also put you to sleep. I’m glad this is only a sample, as I can tell this would NOT be a blend that would age well. haha.
Steep #1 // 1 heaping teaspoon for a mug // 20 minutes after boiling // 2 minute steep
Steep #2 // just boiled // 5 minute steep

Whenever I see the name of this tea, I think of the “Arabian Nights” song from Aladdin. XD

tea-sipper

oh wow. I haven’t thought of that song in A WHILE. haha

Last one from my free DT Spring Fling sampler.

Not a huge fan, but mostly because it’s very coconutty and oily. Mostly I’m just tasting a whole lotta coconut, some apple, and a dash of chamomile. And quite a bit of sweetness from the blackberry leaf and blackberry leaf flavoring. Overall, too sweet and too much coconut for me.

Didn’t really like any of the teas in this sampler (other than the sencha, which was okay). But it’s always nice to give companies another try, and in this case confirm that DT and I just do not jive.

Day 22 of the DavidsTea herbal advent calendar. Because of the valerian, it took me a while to get around to this one – both because I don’t like the taste of valerian and because I could only have it at bedtime. But it’s not at all what I expected! I can’t taste the valerian at all. Rather, it tastes like creamy caramel apple – somehow light and airy, though the flavors aren’t weak or faint. Just a pleasant surprise all around.

Love this tea! Very relaxing and a little sweet, which isn’t usually my scene, but I love this in the evening or when I’m trying to relax.

Absolutely delicious aroma and flavor. Strong flavors of caramel and coconut. And it works! I slept well after drinking this according to the app on my smart watch. Love it!

The flavour of this tea is pretty nice. It’s sweet but not boldly sweet to the point that you feel punched in the face. The flavours I find most dominating are coconut and caramel but again it’s not in a crazy bold kind of way, the flavours blend together quite nicely and are really subtle. As well, after this cup has sat for a while, I felt that the coconut scent became more apparent.

I had not read too much on this tea before purchasing, but I did notice it is a rather popular blend. I let it brew for a good 6 minutes before I tried any and actually decided to just leave the tea bag in the cup while I drank it. I could really taste the different things that went into the tea, I had that slight creaminess and a hint of coconut. I did not get too much caramel until I was about half way through the cup so I think next time I’ll let it steep longer. As much as I was enjoying this tea, there was some herb or flavor that I kept getting, that I was not the biggest fan of, I didn’t mind it but it just felt a little out of place for my liking.
Overall I did enjoy the tea and will enjoy what I have left of it, I might purchase more if my next couple of cups don’t have that same taste, or if it changes more after a longer steeping.
