Hot, with coconut milk and coconut agave.
I wanted to take this tea, which has a beautiful apricot/stonefruit quality to it, and transform it into something more tropical and summer-y. I think I really succeeded in doing that too with my use of coconut; it’s such a nice, natural compliment to the apricot notes and it definitely gave this more of a tiki drink/cocktails on the beach sort of vibe. Almost tasted like Malibu Coconut Rum, actually! I liked that I didn’t lose the apricot underneath the coconut, as well. Downside is that it was very sweet, which was doable at first because I was in the mood for sweet – but the last few sips in the mug were so intense and coconut heavy that they made me think more of badly scented Sun Block/lotion. Kind of icky.
Still nice overall; I’d just use less agave in the future if recreating it again.

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
