Copabanana

Very strong banana flavour, a little bit of coconut. Tastes similar to pina colada if you prepare it iced with milk and agave.

Finished off this bag today (not sure why I never added it to my cupboard here). I am just not a tropical tisane person. Won’t be re-ordering it. It’s all right as an iced drink, but not really my… er… cup of tea. cough

Received a sample of this with a DavidsTea order. It was pretty “meh.” Certainly not bad, but it didn’t really leave much of an impression on me. Not too much to say about it – it tasted kind of like banana chips (you know, the dehydrated ones), but it was mildly flavored.

I tried it the same day as the similarly composed Mudslide from Teopia/Teavana. Mudslide was the clear winner. It’s a rooibos whereas (I think?) this one is just a fruit infusion, but the flavors are amped up a bit. (But I might be biased, seeing as I love rooibos.)

I’m actually sipping on this tea at this very moment, I got this tea as a to-go cup because I wasn’t quite sure if I should buy this in bulk.
It’s not that bad really, but not something I would buy in probably fifty-a hundred grams.
It’s banana-y that’s for sure, and you can taste the fruitiness and coconut in it. I’m drinking this iced with a bit of agave and it’s nice and sweet, doesn’t taste watered down. The more I drink this, the more fonder I become with it’s flavour. It’s yummy, but not a must-have for me. Maybe when I’m feeling it, I might pick this up in twenty-five to fifty grams.

So one thing you should know, I absolutely HATE anything banana or coconut flavoured (I eat the real stuff), but I got this as a sample and I figured I would as least try it. To say the least, it is actually not too bad; I mean I wouldn’t go out and buy it, but it could be worse. When I first opened the package, you can smell an overwhelming scent of banana (similar to what reminded me of banana bread) – even through a stuffed nose. I don’t know if it’s my cold messing with my senses but it tastes like strawberry banana with a hint of coconut; I can’t taste any cocoa. All in all it’s an ok drink. I have two samples so I might try the next one iced.

This tea smells great, and I have to admit I had high hopes for it, even though I don’t love bananas. After drinking it, I can honestly say I wish it had tasted of banana at least, as mine really tasted like water. I put a larger amt in than recommended, and let it steep for a good 10 min. Expensive water was the end result. Not a winner for me. Maybe I’ll eat the rest of my bag as a trail mix.

I don’t like banana flavoured stuff. I even go out of my way to pick smoothies that don’t have any banana. I like fresh bananas and banana chips, just not banana flavour. So, I didn’t have high hopes for this one.

I opened the bag and all I smelled was banana. Yikes! But, I like all the other ingredients so I figured I might as well give it a try. I’ve never actually had a tisane before so I didn’t know how to accurately measure all this chunky stuff. Oh well, I wanted something before bed so this was it.

I’m pleasantly surprised. It has a nice fruitiness to it. I don’t have the words to describe what I’m tasting, but I like it. I put a small dab of honey; I probably could have forgone that. The more I drink it, the more I like it. I’m not sure I would necessarily buy it again, but I’m happy that I tried it.

This was the underdog for my tea-tasting party for the fall DT teas. No one expected it to be good. " Another banana herbal? The summer collection one was bad enough, thank you very much!"

Bias – I love banana, and I enjoy it in teas.

First impressions – Visually, it’s one of my favorites. The smell of this one is really nice, and minimally “artificial banana”. Once steeped, it retains its smell, but it becomes more subtle and natural.

Flavor – I really enjoy it. It replaced The Glow as my evening herbal. Once it started getting really cold in the evenings, I transitioned this tea by blending it 50/50 with Exotica, and it’s awesome.

Loveability – It’s the only fall tea that I bought in large quantity. I won’t be heart-broken when I run out, but I’m definately happy I have this in my cupboard for the winter.

I recieved a sample of this with my last order, and decided to give it a try tonight. I used the whole packet for my cup, because the pieces were big and I didn’t want to leave anything out. I also read that many people found it too weak, so I figured it couldn’t hurt.

Dry, the tea smells nice, definitely banana-y, and has lots of recognizable fruity bits. Steeped, the smell of banana is the most pronounced. My boyfriend says that it smells like Moon Mist ice cream. Hmm…. Well, it tastes good, but not as different as I was hoping. I find it reminds me a lot of Banana Daquiri, and it isn’t quite as strong as I’d like (I left the tea in while I drank it).

Overall, I’ll finish the cup but it isn’t something I would buy more of.
