Now that’s fresh

When it comes to rooibos, some say green is the new red. Because while red rooibos tastes great, some say the new wave of unoxidized green rooibos is even better. What’s so special? The production process, which is similar to that of green tea, gives it a smooth, fresh taste. Here we’ve topped it up with the tropical flavours of papaya, apple, mango and peach. (MK Kosher)

Ingredients: Fair Trade Certified South African green and red rooibos, apple, mango, papaya. With artificial and natural flavouring*.

It’s very fruity and quite nice. I imagine it’ll be great iced. I think I ran out of it to make it iced. Next time…

Received this one as a sample and I enjoy this one very much. It is definitely fruity and yummy! I made this as an iced tea with a little sweetener. I may have to buy this one for the hot summer days that are approaching :-)

I. Adore. Green rooibos!!!!!!!

Since I require copious amounts of caffeine to get through my day, I sometimes forget about my rooibos blends. And every time I go back to this one I remember just why I love it. The earthiness of the green rooibos combined with all the sweetness from the different kinds of fruit results in this amazing combination of refreshing-relaxing-tropical vacationness.

I’m somewhat new to the Rooibos family, but so far have really enjoyed all the ones I’ve tried. This one is no exception.

It has a nice fruity taste (love the hints of peach) but also that full flavour that rooibos tends to have. In a weird way it almost tastes like oatmeal, but not in a bad way. It gives the tea a more full-bodied flavour rather than an overly light fruity flavour. It also keeps the tea from tasting artificial.

Being caffeine free this is a perfect tea to sip on before going to bed.

Overall, very pleased.

Unintentionally oversteeped it (distracted by the internet), but I don’t think it suffered. A light, refreshing tea. The fruity isn’t overpowering but it leaves a really nice aftertaste that isn’t too sweet.

Was ok. Couldn’t really tell what kind of fruits are in it. Got this in a sampler pack . I guess I prefer the kind of tea with more distinct and singular notes.

Flavors: Fruity, Rooibos

From my last shift; needed something caffeine free.

This wasn’t bad, but I definitely knew right away that it would never be a favourite of mine either. The rooibos base is simply just way, way too strong and woody in comparison to the fruit notes. That’s sad too, ‘cause I definitely was really feeling the papaya and mango flavours. The peach? Not nearly so much, but that was ok. Also, as it cooled, it did pick up a very faintly medicinal fruit sort of flavour that wasn’t wildly unlike the way black currant can taste medicinal. Not sure which of the fruits that was coming from, though…

Friendly reminder that I’m not currently numerically rating DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently seasonally employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts regarding the teas, and not the company’s.

thinking of revisiting some herbal/rooibos blends from DAVIDs..might pick this one up. Hmm.
