Snowbud makes a good cup of white tea with a subtle, yet distinctive taste. It’s a bit grassy and a bit minerally, but very smooth and with just a hint of tea aroma. The color is a barely there yellow, which reinforces the subtlety of the tea in general. If you’re looking for a smooth, mellow tea that’s hard no to like, this is it.
This is the first unflavored white tea I’ve ever tried, so I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I like it!. The first sip was a little grassy tasting, but I am surprised by the intensity and fragrance of this cup. It seemed delicate at first sip, then intensified, as though my palate adjusted to it. I read Cofftea’s notes, and I agree, there is something like butter or toffee in the flavor.
I’m reading the reviews of this tea on here and ahhh why are they so like.. not bad, but not the absolute best.
My opinion? IT’S THE BEST WHITE TEA I’VE EVER HAD. Well, I’ve only had the ones from the white tea sampler sooo yeah. But out of those four, this is my absolute FAVE. It’s not as grassy as the others and I’m definitely making my way through this particular tea ever so slowly so it can last :)
**side note: I’m kinda mad that the teacup with the filter that I have is like all weird right now. I had a couple cups of chai in it and the chai stuck to the filter. Figured that I shouldn’t drink out of that with the delicate flavours of this tea. So I just put the leaves into my mug, let it steep for a while, and fished the leaves out with a fork. I’M IN COLLEGE. DON’T JUDGE.
This tea was brewed and handed to me, so I cannot give too thorough specifics on it; all I know is it was brewed hot, probably 2-3 minutes with no additives.
The tea is very good, airy, light, slightly vegetal but crisp and clean. Strangely, there is a slightly sweet aftertaste. This appears to be brought on by the cleanliness of the tea.
Definitely very good and I can safely say, I will be adding it to my next Adagio order
I like this tea. It’s really smooth. The flavor is very mellow and not overpowering. It makes for a nice tea-drinking experience.
I prefered it best when cooled off a little, but not quite room temperature (I finished it before it got to that point _).
snowbud is the first white tea ive tried. i picked it up after realizing i hate the taste of green tea but still want a tea i can drink before bed and the health benefits are a + i guess
i love this tea (compared to green tea) it doesn’t have much taste to it just a really really subtle sweetness as a base and unfortunately still some greentea kind of taste… i think ive seen it said as "vegetal’ but idk
as im looking for a cheaper white tea(not many) i think i could settle on this although its not amazing its certainly acceptable … would ideally like to try other whites though as i see room for improvement
When you use a really good heaping of tea and steep about 3-4 minutes you can actually get some flavor out of this, not much, but some. I’m definitely getting a lighter version of dragonwell with a buttery taste. White tea has never been my favorite but this tea is perfect if I want something light.
Very light buttery color with a light floral aroma and a hint of licorice/anise (?!?) Flavor is very light, creamy, subtle with a pleasant nuttiness. 2nd infusion—definitely picking up a licorice/anise flavor and aroma, sugary sweet afternote. Interesting—
This was the first of the white teas where there was a faint smell with the leaves but no smell when you steeped it. That of course could just be me. Also when you taste it, there’s a very leafy, earthy dare I say fishy taste. It’s not bad but it does make you aware of it when you first drink it. What I’ve found is that it begins to taste better after it cools off.
I’ve had two cups already and it’s growing on me. If I continue to drink it, which I will but it won’t be at the top of the list, I will definitely let it sit for a few minutes. Not sure if I can give it thumbs up as a definite try but I will say try it because I’m curious to see what you think.
