Another blend from Rachel! You rock the blends, girl!
:)

There IS something springy and airy about this…so I can totally make the connection to Spring! It’s still true to the green tea taste and the 3 flavors mesh nicely. I really can’t tell who is trying to cut to the front of the line…or maybe they aren’t trying at all. Regardless this is a tasty green!

Boo-YA! (And I mean that in the coolest way!)
CHEERS!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Oh you are too kind. insert blushing and giggle here Funny thing I actually removed that blend since it wasn’t doing well. I on the other hand do have a bunch left. Maybe you will get a surprise in the future.

Oh!!! yeah…I have removed several of mine as well. I need to add some that I have been throwing around lately…might do that tonight, actually.

Thanks to Rachel for sending me some great samples. This was the first I tried. I drank it before looking up what flavors went into it and swear I could taste some cherry apricot wonderfulness in the fruity sweetness of this tea. I thunk this blend would be better iced, it had a tad too much going on for how I enjoy my green teas.

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

You’re welcome. For me this wasn’t really my favorite but do agree on the iced statement. All I can say is that they should only get better from here on. :-)

So I have been off tea for the past couple of days due to an awful canker sore that made swallowing extremely painful. It is finely healing and I got a new infuser so I had to have an afternoon cup of tea. This is nice and green tea! It is very green and grassy and I can taste a hint of apricot, but I am not sure I can taste the vanilla. Although it is a smooth cup which is probably the vanilla. Boy did I miss enjoying tea!!!

Caitlin

P.S. Thanks Rachel!!!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

You’re welcome. Got your goodies too. Thanks, and hope to get writing soon on the reviews.

Caitlin

Yay! I am glad they got there okay! Hope you enjoy!

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

I am sure I will. Thanks for the extra surprises too.

Caitlin

No problem! I hope you like them, red chai and oxford breakfast are some of my favorites! And heath bar is just fun – haha.

This tasting note has been made possible by Rachel – Thank you Rachel for sending me a sample of this blend to try!

I don’t have a lot of experience with the citron fruit, although I did have a citron marmalade once that was really quite delicious.

The flavor is really quite nice in this blend. The creamy vanilla dominates. The fruit flavors – apple and citron – aren’t as distinctive, its more like I can taste a fruity “medley” as opposed to a distinct apple and citrus flavor. The apple flavor does become more distinct in the sweet and smooth finish.

The green tea base is nice. I definitely prefer Adagio’s green tea base to their black tea base, which is a good thing in this particular blend, because the tea flavor is quite prominent. It has a pleasant fresh, vegetative flavor to it. Just slightly grassy, just slightly sweet, and I can detect no bitterness in it. Very enjoyable.

This is really a very tasty blend.

I had to consult wikipedia on the topic of ‘citron’ here. You see in danish citron=lemon and I had the hardest time ever believing you had never had anything with lemon (and I also wondered why on earth you refused to just say lemon)
Great was my astonishment to learn that in english citron=whole other fruit! O.O They’re called ‘cedrat’ in danish. Never heard of them before.

This was a really good blend! I can taste the green tea with a fruity, sweet note to it! Very nice! Before I knew it my cup was gone and then I was saddened by this :-(

The tea wasn’t as light and crisp as I hoped it would be. More like a syrup but I am almost sure if iced it would be much better. So now that it has been reformulated I will have to reorder it and try it again. However, as is it wasn’t terrible it was good but just now what I expected to be. The new version contains mostly citron green with small percentages of apricot and vanilla. I will add more notes as soon as I ice the original version of what I have reviewed.
