I took rosebudmelissa’s advice and added some fresh satsuma peel and a single hibiscus flower petal to my cup before steeping. It was fun to play around with the extra ingredients, but I’m not sure they made much of a difference for me. It’s been a while since I’ve had this one, so I don’t remember if I liked it before, and since this is one of my oldest teas, I know that it has lost some of its flavors over time. I can taste the orange and also the rooibos, but no tartness from the cranberry and no apples. I added some coconut milk, so it tastes a little like a creamsicle (which I’m enjoying). It’s a good night time cuppa!

Another grab bag — This seems like a very special, well thought out blend. So many goodies here – spices and fruits. To be fair, this blend might be a year old (holiday label) but it is perfectly delicious to me! I’m sad the description was never added to Steepster. I made sure to get a cranberry and orange slice into my two teaspoons. (It looks just like the picture!) I taste hints of orange, cranberry, and spices on the lovely red and green rooibos base (red and green rooibos — so Christmas colored!). Just the perfect blend for a cold midwinter night… a spicy warm cup and the thoughts of sunshine from the orange slices.

Another from Sil and this is one I probably wouldn’t have grabbed for myself, though it’s always fun to try new teas, especially caffeine free ones. Now that I am drinking it, I keep going back and forth between thinking this tea is good and this tea isn’t for me. Also, for some reason I keep thinking this is a cranberry orange muffin tea, for no particular reason but that’s what keeps coming to mind. I think it’s the spices in this blend, meant to evoke cider, is coming off as flavors you’d find in a fruity breakfast muffin so in that sense I am actually enjoying this. The orange is hiding under the spices, serving as a nice foundation for the tea as a whole, present but not overpowering. I don’t know if I’m getting any cranberry and thankfully I am not getting any rooibos. As a whole, this comes together nicely.

I think my next cup will be a cold brew or perhaps a teapop. Thank you Sil for the share. I think I will enjoy this one while it lasts!

This is pretty good, but could be better. This is rather lightly flavored, and the orange seems to dominate, with a hint of apple and spice. I don’t taste the cranberry at all. I would recommend less red rooibos, and more fruit and spices. I wouldn’t object to a touch of hibiscus if it helped bring out the cranberry-apple flavors a bit more. Maybe there’s more fruit in the bottom of the pouch, but it doesn’t quite live up to the name as it is.

This is not as good as whichever other cranberry-orange tea it was that I had recently (I’m suffering from severe baby brain and too lazy to check). Initial bubblegum vibes, but then I can taste the orange and some cider spices (more than just cinnamon, but I don’t know what exactly correlates to “cider” in my brain). Maybe a bit of cranberry too? But I can also taste the rooibos, and I’m not a fan of any of that poking through. It’s not bad, though!

This tea I thought I would like the least out of this year’s 2015 52 Teas Holiday tea line, but I was wrong. This one is quite nice – a strong orange tea with a light hum of spices. The rooibos is a good background, and wow lots of whole cranberries!

This one shines brewed strong iced – sounds weird but since I’m in a warm climate it works quite well!

Oh god, the Cranberry Orange Cider is sooo good. First of all, it smells like juice when you open the packet. Like, spices and orange juice and freshness. OM NOM NOM. Second of all, there are whole cranberries! There are also whole pieces of orange. The rest of the tea is a mix of what looks like red rooibos, green rooibos, spices, and possibly orange peel.

The brewed tea is just as good — there’s an excellent balance between the vibrancy of the cranberry, the juiciness of the orange, the solidity of the base rooibos, and the warmth of the mulling spices in the background. The decision to mix red and green rooibos is a smart one, since green rooibos has a lighter, fresher taste that works well with the fruit. Hands down, this was the best of the flavours available through the 52Teas holiday Kickstarter.

I couldn’t resist having this one today after smelling it. Cranberry, orange deliciousness. Honestly i am in love with the dry aroma of this one. Brewed, this might be my favourite of the 3 that i’ve tried so far. It’s got the tang from the cranberry but it’s still orange, christmas cider…if that makes sense. I did find that it’s best tasted as it’s cooled a little but before it gets closer to cold. I had to add a tiny bit of sugar because i let it cool off too much and the sharpness of the cranberry came through a little too much. But a tiny bit of sugar and it was delicious again :)

This tea left my tea studio smelling amazing for two weeks after I blended it! My family kept bugging me, asking me “is that tea ready yet?” because they wanted to try it so bad!

I had some of this last night and it’s AMAZIIIIING. I’m doing my write-up of all 5 teas and this one was my favourite.

Hmm, now I’m regretting not picking some of this up.
