Tea for Me Please - Nicole Wilson Send Message

I picked a tin of this up at the NY Coffee and Tea Festival. It has become my go-to tea for a morning pick me up. It’s sweet and just astringent enough. I don’t even need to add milk or sugar.

Wow…just wow. This is probably the best oolong I have ever had, and that says a lot because I’ve had A LOT of oolong. Short steeps in a gaiwan are best. I think I may need to treat myself to this one.

Took me a couple of steeps to get this one right. It wasn’t outstanding but still tasted pretty good. I’m not such of a strawberry person anyway.

Brewed this in a gaiwan. It’s amazing how much it really does smell and taste like sticky rice. The first steeping was a bit too astringent but all of the other ones (I think I must have done around 6 or so) were very nice.

I really like this one. Just a hint of lavender. The second infusion had the best balance of flavors. A little too sweet after drinking six cups of it :p

Jasmine Dream is a staple for me. It has a nice balance between the vegetal green and the jasmine. A lot of blends are overly sweet or floral but I like this one a lot.

Definitely needed a light tea like this on such a hot day. It’s sweet and refreshing but not overwhelming. I always keep a tin of this on the tea shelf.

I wasn’t quite sure how to brew this tea since I didn’t feel like pulling out a gaiwan. Using an infuser basket and ceramic pot worked pretty well just the same though. Boy is this stuff green! Definitely a lot more cloudy that regular genmaicha. It was sweet but the nutty taste I love was still there.

This was an unusual find but I actually quite liked it. It was smooth and mellow with just a hint of a citrus aftertaste. My boyfriend even liked it and he sweetens everything he drinks :p
