6768 Tasting Notes
The sample tins are awesome…the labels I LOVE…the website – YAY! The customer service…LOVELY! Now for the tea…
I’m not sure if it’s because of the name or it actually smells like this or not…but…
The loose leaf ACTUALLY SMELLS like corn kernels prior to popping! The taste is buttery, yes. The beginning of the sip is sweeter and then it turns a little bit vegetal but it’s a gentle veggie taste. This is nice! I’m honored to add it to my stash!
GOT BALLS!?
I do!
:P
I’m just finishing up the infusion of 3 of these balls or PEARLS and am REALLY excited to try this!!!!
At first I could smell – ever-so-slightly – something that smelled fruity but like cocoa. This completely intrigued me!
While infusing…it smells a little like cocoa…but very slight. The wet leaves smell like Assam.
The taste is very unique. They mention ‘chocolate’ in the description…I would say it would be a dark chocolate because it is really bold and – well – dark. It’s not really sweet. There is a tad of bitterness to it but I am comparing that to a dark chocolate type bitterness.
I can ‘find’ the apple comparison they spoke of. And I can taste a bit of oak or other like woodsy type taste.
This is VERY Malty! Even in the aftertaste.
What a FUN tea! Nifty!!!!
Sounds like my husband would love this one! Also, I don’t know why, but I love any tea that comes rolled up in a ball. :)
I was just looking at their website. I love how they show the brewed color of the tea. This seems esp important for oolongs. They are definitely on my list to order from soon.
malomorgen strikes again! Thanks so much for sending this to me!!!!
The aroma intensifies during infusion. It’s woodsy, floral, and fruity.
I think I can smell more of a elderberry/raspberry combo after infusing. It has a different yet pleasant scent.
The taste is a little mellower than I thought it would be but it’s quite good. I’m thinking this would be another good one ICED.
Woot!
Ahhhhhh! This smells wonderful! Surely takes me back! I won’t go into that now…but this is SURE to be reviewed in greater length at SororiTEA Sisters…

This is awesomely juicy…fragrant, sweet, fruity but not tart – VERY YUMMY!!!! Nice flavored black. Can’t wait to try this iced as well! I know it will be good!
A gift from LiberTEAs! Thanks girl!!!!
This seems to be more even and even a little cakey or a mini-cake-wannabe-type taste at the beginning of the sip! I like this because it is NOT chemically tasting and the floral and bergamot isn’t slapping you in the face like some seem to. My fave part is organic/fair trade! YAY!
This is surprisingly incredible! I was afraid it was going to be herbally and/or boring but it’s a delight!
It sort of smells like Adagio’s Foxtrot with a little lime and sweet flower and less chamomile. Well, to the eye, there is a lot of chamomile, imo, but when you taste it – it’s just enough and everything else works well with it! The Cinnamon is barely there…but I think that is perfect- I think any more cinnamon and it would ruin what’s going on with the tisane!
Ahhhh! Very nice!
This tea is sooooo neat! The leaves are tightly spiraled and slightly fuzzy! Post infusion the leaves are much different in every way – color, texture, size, etc. FUN! And it’s a tasty tea! I would say a very powerful white tea…maybe somewhere between a green and a white. NICE. In the middle of the sip I can relate to the jam-like mention in the description!
This is a FUN tea!
This smells herbally. I can smell the orange too tho!
This is sweet and floral and herbal and citrusy and almost plant-like but in a good way.
Very interesting, very different. Tastes good tho! I would drink again!
Another good tea name!
Oh — I saw mention of Ducky Life Tea somewhere the other day…I think it was a result of looking into the “Mad Pots of Tea.” Now I’m doubly-intrigued :)
And organic too! And they have give back teas:)
Sounds like the perfect companion to vintage kung fu movie nights.
