No stand out, but still a good Russian Caravan, and it’s nice to find something at a local shop, seems like I am constantly waiting on the mail and it gets old.

drank Earl Grey Creme by Teavana

Found these pyramid sachets at Walmart, to my surprise. It’s Earl Grey, so nothing mind-blowing, but there is a light root beer note to this that is kind of interesting.

I’ve neglected my tea log so much, thanks to work, but I’ve also been neglecting my tea (again thanks to work). Mostly I’ve just been having Harney and Sons tea bags over and over, or Tazo when I’m really desperate. Hard times, folks.

Anyway, I did pick up this herbal loose leaf tea in a little shop and it seemed like a good time to check in. The tea is a little on the light side, but it has good flavor, a pleasant balance mainly of cinnamon and lemongrass. It smells kind of like cherry but doesn’t taste cherry, though there is a touch of fruitiness.

So happy to have this in the cupboard again! It smells sooooo buttery. Gotta be honest, I never can taste anything at the recommended 15-20 second steeps, but 2 minute steeps are working out great.

Trying this for the first time. It has a nice malt to it, and a hint of that leather flavor that seems to show up a lot in this type of tea. I am not crazy about the leather, but at least it’s not too strong.

I drank this whole bag before I realized I never stopped to write a tasting note. This tea grew on me pretty quickly. It’s a bit light compared to most Irish breakfasts, but still hefty enough to be a breakfast tea. I liked the flavor, and since it wasn’t as acidic as the average breakfast tea, it sat a lot better on my stomach.

Enjoying this one. The ginger, orange, and peach are about evenly balanced. The base isn’t noteworthy, but it sits well with the other flavors.

These leaves are so incredibly long. They are gorgeous but I had no idea how to measure them, so I was never sure if I was making the tea right. It always turned out super light, but the flavor was pleasant, both a bit fruity and a bit vegetal.

Nothing to rave about, but the lemon and lavender make a pleasantly soothing combination, and at least there’s no hibiscus. Also it’s a good excuse to break in my new pot and cups :)

drank Holiday Tea by Harney & Sons

To my surprise, I really enjoyed the sample I tried of this, so I bought a box. I am not a fan of spice teas, but this light blend of spices melds so well with the base that to me this comes across more as a particularly rich black tea than a spice tea.
