106 Tasting Notes
I bought this one simply because it was on sale…it’s not too bad (I’m not really a fan of green teas). I steeped it pretty short just because I find green teas to be quite bitter, and I didn’t find this one bitter, but I could taste the earthiness from the green tea so I added just a hint of sugar. The vanilla is nice, it leaves a wonderful smell and lingering aftertaste. I enjoyed it but don’t think I’ll restock.
Flavors: Vanilla, Wet Earth
Preparation
I liked this one, just because I do love berries… this has got a great berry flavor, although it’s lacking the tartness I was hoping for. It tastes a lot like Bear Trap to me and similar to Queen of Tarts. I like it because it’s got the bit of caffeine in it.. although I think I’d choose this over Bear Trap, I think I’ll keep Organic Queen of Tarts over this one.
Flavors: Apple, Blackberry, Goji, Raspberry
Preparation
I really really enjoyed this one! To me it tasted like a fresh picked raspberry, tart and juicy. I’m a little confused tho about the caffeine content… on DT’s website it says its a low blend, but I ordered the rainbow tin of it and it says “stimulant” on it. I added just a pinch of sugar to this one, I also let it steep for about 15 mins too. I think I’ll be keeping this one in stock if I get that kick of energy that many people wrote about!
Flavors: Berry, Raspberry, Tart
Preparation
I finally like this one. I let it steep really long this time… about 45 mins while I was getting ready for work. The first 2 times I found it very bland and flavorless… but after steeping for a long time, finally the peppermint comes through! I do love it! I’m glad cause I went and bought 100g because I needed some more caffeinated teas, and I love black ones. I can really see how it would help a sore throat as well which is a bonus. I added a pinch of sugar and a tiny bit of milk.
Flavors: Peppermint, Vanilla
Preparation
I found this tea blend to just be OK. To me it just tasted like a berry fruit drink… just watered down a little. I couldn’t taste the tulsi at all. I know the tea is filled with calming and anti anxiety remedies… but I still found myself getting wound up at work. All in all a good tea, just don’t think I’d buy this one.
Flavors: Apple, Hibiscus, Raspberry, Strawberry
Preparation
Although this one was quite chocolaty, I found it has a sharp taste (I’m guessing from the mushrooms) that I did not enjoy. It’s a good thing I had a sample of this to try, because I was just about to buy myself 50g of this tea. I find there’s other detox teas by Davids Tea that I would choose to drink over this one. It did taste a little bit better with milk and sugar… maybe a little less steeping time next sample.
Flavors: Chocolate, Earth, Mushrooms
Preparation
This has got to be one of my favorite herbal teas I’ve tried from David’s tea! It tastes very similar to apple crumble. It’s nutty and delicious. I can’t wait to try it cold… as my hot tea started to cool down the cinnamon, almond and apple really seem to pop and get even stronger. I added a little bit of sugar in mine just to make it taste more like a sweet apple crumble.
Flavors: Almond, Apple, Cinnamon, Toasted
