This tea smelt really good, but as I steeped it and tried it the ginger is coming out pretty strong which I’m not a fan of. I saw chamomile so I thought it would be a lighter tasting tea, but it’s quite pungent. Fruity yet gingery… and I’m not sure but it might be the licorice root that’s giving it a medicinal taste as well. I’ll finish what I have, but I won’t be buying this one.

Flavors: Cranberry, Fruity, Ginger, Licorice

Alright I tried this one again, steeped it even longer and decided to try it without anything in it except a little sugar… it’s wonderful… I’m again bumping it up again from a 75 to an 82. :)

drank Sweet Tart by DAVIDsTEA

I got this yesterday for Valentine’s Day from my boyfriend… I’ve got to say he made some really good purchases! I love this one, it’s fruity, sweet and tart at the same time. Everything mingles well together. The dried leaves smell amazing, steeped it tastes different then it smells dry. I’m really enjoying it this morning… and it’s nice it’s caffeine free, because I’ve got to hydrate for tonight’s hot yoga!

drank S’mores Chai by DAVIDsTEA

Last time I said I couldn’t really taste the chai side of this tea, I am really tasting it now…. haha or maybe I’m learning what “chai spices” are from all this tea drinking! Im still in love with this one… I started my second summertime job today and I wanted something that would be delicious the whole day…. so I steeped s’mores chai in one mug, and I steeped white chocolate chai in my other mug that stays hot all day! I guess it’s a chai kind of day today!

Okay, I’m really loving this tea today. Definitely last time I added too much milk and sugar… and probably didn’t steep long enough- i’m bumping my score from 65 to a 90! I’m getting the coffee flavor… and not sure if it is the chicory root or the Yerba that is giving an earthy flavor. Whatever it’s good! Love the boost without the jitters too!!!

drank Apple Cider by DAVIDsTEA

Okay, so I gave this one a try twice before I reviewed it since I didn’t like it at all the first time. But I am still not liking it. To me it tastes a little artificial and the aftertaste is not very good. It’s drinkable but I’m not really enjoying it… more so just hydration. I do love apple cider so I was surprised I didn’t like this one! I got it in the advent calendar and in two of the gift sets, so I’ve got a lot more to go through sadly :( I’ll try steeping it for a short time next time.

Bio

Was just introduced to loose leaf tea within the last year. Never thought i’d ever get used to life without coffee! I’ve really been enjoying all the new flavours and different types of teas.. so much to learn and taste!
I usually drink my teas with a little milk and sugar… unless it is a herbal infusion or the ingredients don’t mix well with milk.
Some of my favourites so far are savoury black teas, and I’m always a sucker for anything involving mints or fruits.

90-100: Cupboard staple – will buy when I run out

75-90: I’ll drink what I have, may restock when out

55-75: I’ll drink it, but probably won’t buy it

0-55: Might finish it, might feed it to the sink
