Picked up from Edmonton. Meh flavor, but it is tea.

This is one of those “old shoe” brands that I have always wanted to try just to added it to the repertoire. Not too easy to find locally; it’s considered a fancy import.

Drank this last night, hot, and then chilled some for this morning, which was quite nice.

For some reason, while this cup starts out very delicious, I always have a bit of trouble in wanting to finish the last of it, because of how much spice flavor it has. I like spice, but sometimes it seems too much in this tea, and it reminds me a bit of the Good Earth spiced tea, which I do not enjoy.

The “candied glitter and gold” is sugar, which also makes this tea very interesting for me, since I typically do not sweeten my tea.

At one point, I think I had said this was one of my least favorite Peet’s black bagged teas. However, the Masala Chai is moving into that spot, and this one is moving up. Mind you, that is only for the bagged versions. I find the bagged chai really, really weak.

Yawn. Tired. This tea should help! I still like it, even bagged.

Bio

“I love trading tea and trying new teas. My favourites are oolong (mainly Chinese) and pu’erh.
Will gladly talk all day about tea.”

The above was my bio when I joined five years ago, and I felt it needed to be updated. I still love pu’erh, though I have begun to take preference toward cooked, shou. Oolongs are certainly still a go-to tea for me, but I have expanded my horizons to begin including greens and blacks based upon the weather and how I am feeling.

Still more than glad to talk about tea – anytime, anywhere, anyplace.
Additionally, if fountain pens, books, music, or computers are on the discussion list…

My ratings, this “personal enjoyment scale” about which I talk, are just that – based on how much I enjoyed the tea. I might have enjoyed it immensely, yet do not keep it stocked for various reasons. On the flip side, I have a few teas that are “good” but not “great,” which I keep stocked for various reasons.
