I received this in the White2Tea subscription. I put off drinking it for a long time, life has been chaotic and I haven’t been able to properly prepare to drink this type of tea. I used my gaiwan that I purchased at Christmas for the first time with this tea, in fact, it was my first time using a gaiwan in general. The tea itself was beautiful, I had a wonderful experience drinking it through the brews. I am a very avid white tea fan, having many of white teas from other companies that I brew in a regular infuser. The aged factor of this white tea was very interesting, to say the least. I am sorry that I cannot provide very good notes on the specific flavours, I am still developing my ability to recognize and note flavours. I just wanted to say I enjoyed this tea very, very much.

Okay, I opened this tea without realizing it’s name had BERRY in it, thinking it was some kind of empowering tea. I know, I can be silly. It has a very powerful berry aroma though. I made a pot….and immediately enjoyed it. So I am drinking it again. I love the berry notes of this tea. It is not sweet, but has such a great berry flavour you would swear it is. I can drink a whole 1.5l pot in a few hours, it tastes great all the way to the last drop.

I really like this tea! I was not sure what to expect…it sort of reminds me of a rice popcorn cake but it has a lovely green tea flavour to it too. I will be drinking more of this.

I like eating the rice bits. Tastes like a japanese soup :)

Jennifer

I tried some and they are yummy, I have always liked popped or toasted rice foods. This tea did sort of have a soup flavour to it, I enjoyed it. It would be good with a meal.

Thats so true, perfect for something non-spicy with japanese rice

OOOOOO I have been craving lime tea for about a year now but haven’t picked any up. This is almost exactly what I imagined. I like mine steeped strong and long though. It’s a creamy lime flavour, it’s not zesty. I very much have enjoyed my entire pot.

Flavors: Creamy, Lime

I love a good EGC! This one is one of the best I have had. Can’t get lazy and let it steep too long though. When making a London Fog I like it strong, but today I just steeped it in the pot straight up. Last cup was pretty bitter because I left the infuser in it.

Flavors: Bergamot, Flowers

Preparation

Happy New Year everyone! I am ringing in the new year with me, myself and a pot of tea. 2015 overall wasn’t a bad year, in fact, it was probably the best year I have had in quite awhile. I don’t want to jinx it for 2016 though, I have a lot of hope in terms of business (my freelance work and maybe something tea related too) and school (always aiming to get better grades, going back to school in 2014 was exciting but immediately I realized I had forgotten how to learn and so began a very long process of figuring out the best ways for me to interpret and absorb material). I don’t have anything planned related to travelling, I know a few years ago I had hoped I would be on my way to Africaburn in 2016, or at least returning to Burning Man, but I am not ready for that yet.

This tea…is very sweet. It smells like a lovely vanilla cake with caramel hints. It tastes about the same, but does have a bit of a darker taste to it. Overall I enjoy it enough to keep it in the stash at all times.

Flavors: Cake, Caramel, Vanilla

I’m currently in love with this tea! I will probably continue drinking it until my stash (20g) is finished. Then I will likely restock…because right now I can’t imagine not having this tea in my cupboard.

I saw a post on Tumblr about this tea and it said “If Valentine’s Day was a tea, it would taste like this!”, I have to agree.

This tea sounds lovely. Is it quite sweet?

Jennifer

It’s not actually very sweet at all. It’s more floral than anything, but it’s not very floral at all either. It’s about average in terms of teas that I have tried. (I am not incredibly well versed on teas, so judge accordingly). I have definately tasted sweeter teas. The chocolate in this is not a sweet chocolate, rather it is just the fragrance of chocolate.

Jennifer

I drank 3 23oz pots of this tea tonight…working on the third right now (it’s steeping). I have enough left for one mug, but I think I am going to the mall to get some more this weekend.

Mookit

Interesting, thanks! I may have to go try it once then.
