This teahouse has great atmosphere and room for groups to drink together even though the shop itself isn’t very big. The inside includes a rock waterfall, wooden tea chest tables, and bamboo shelves in a mix of organic and geometric design.
The full Tao of Tea menu is available in several serving styles along with nibbles. The Leaf Room is located next door if you wish to take some tea home. I haven’t found the staff here as friendly/helpful as in the Lan Su Garden location, but they also haven’t been rude.
Similar to Zyriel, this tea room is a good one but it’s not my favorite. I’ve not found the staff very friendly and portions for both tea and food are small for the price. I suggest grabbing tea from the shop next door and enjoying it leisurely at home.
This tea room is a must visit if you haven’t ever been. That said, it’s not my favorite tea room. I don’t find the snacks appetizing and despite their tea list being moderately sizes, I always feel limited and have a difficult time selecting something. It is a nice tea room though, and they have a teashop next door that is nice too.
This place is my tea shangri-lah. I always try to visit when I’m in town.
I owe a lot to this place and its sister location at the Lan Su Chinese Garden. If it weren’t for Tao, I wouldn’t have graduated from teabags. Their Silver Needle white tea made me a convert. The appearance of their main shop is traditionally rustic but with a modern flare, and all of their teas are served in the fashion of the region they stem. (You actually get a gourd and bombilla when you order yerba mate.) Can’t say enough good things about it.
This tea house is in the midst of the Chinese Garden in the China Town district. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, they serve a fantastic variety of authentic chinese tea treats, along with a huge selection of teas!
