55 Tasting Notes

I’ve been having at least one cup of this every night before I sleep, and it is incredibly relaxing. I can’t get over how mellow this tea is, no matter how long you steep it for. An excellent blend!

New discovery- this is quite enjoyable when you have a cold. I can’t taste very much, but I can taste the pumpkin (though not quite as fully as normal). It’s a nice alternative to Earl Grey when I’m sick! I did steep it for well over 10 minutes, so that may be why I’m tasting it. Either way, still a lovely tea!

This tea is VERY cinnamony, which I generally like. However, I don’t know if I’m a fan of everything else that is in it. It seems that whatever fruit is “Christmasy” was added. It is by no means unpleasant, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink several cups of it.

The clove is quite strong at first, and the orange peel really comes through on the aftertaste. I’ve only had one cup, so I will add more notes once I’ve done more tastings.

I’m not sure how I feel about this tea. I steeped it for 6 minutes, and still found it quite bland. I kept steeping it for another 3-4 minutes, but probably should have stopped a bit earlier, as I found the tea a little bitter.

I thought there would be more of a chocolate taste, but the hazelnut is excellent. This tea is going to take some experimentation.

This is an excellent alternative to breakfast tea! You can definitely taste the similarities between the Irish Breakfast and Afternoon but this one is a little more mellow. I generally leave the teabag in the entire time I’m drinking a breakfast tea, so I did the same with this tea- great choice!

I agree that it is a nice alternative to their breakfast tea. Sometimes I don’t want anything too strong in the morning and find myself picking afternoon tea instead. With this you still get a clean/fresh taste and a boost. I may have to get a cup now you mention it :)

I’ve had quite a few cups of this lately, and it is excellent for a regular, bagged tea! It lends itself well to extended steeping, and is mild enough to be relaxing.

I know that many people are in love with this tea, and while I thoroughly enjoy it, it is not my favourite tea from David’s. I tried steeping it longer today (I think around 9 minutes), which helped “fill out” the tea, but I still find the flavour a little separate from the tea (if that makes sense at all).

I wasn’t too sure about it until I had it with a bit of brown sugar and cream; then it was love.

Not sure why, but this was slightly less “oily” this time around. Excellent as usual!

Although I always steep my teas with boiling water, I tried this with slightly cooler water. It wasn’t strong enough for my at 6 minutes, so I ended up closer to 10. I would stick with boiling water!

I’m back in Winnipeg now, so regular access to all my teas! (Though I do miss Ireland quite a lot.)

I mostly drink black teas (anything with cinnamon is fantastic), with a few white teas as well.
