Decided to have this iced with lunch. I didn’t think I would like it too much but I absolutely love it. I definitely would not drink it hot because of the tartness, but there’s so much going on that it doesn’t bother me.
I can actually even taste the mate. There’s an herbal taste to it that’s not all spearmint. And it’s very sweet and fruity all on its own. I taste blueberry, pineapple, raspberry, apple…I just wonder…if it’s called ACAI matetini, where on earth’s the acai?
But that would figure from Teavana, wouldn’t it.
My parents are in Tortola today on a cruise, and I asked them to bring me back coconut rum from somewhere if it’s super cheap. But even without any rum in this drink, I feel like I am on an island in the Caribbean too. Just wish I had the food of the cruise but that’s just because I’m lazy.
