8 Tasting Notes
I was searching for the flavour I get from this tea, and my fiance totally hit the nail on the head- marzipan. This tea is pretty darn marzipan-y. I don’t see that as a bad thing, but I know a lot of people don’t really dig that. I enjoyed it after dinner with a slice of fig cake, but I’m not sure I’ll be reaching for it over and over.
I’m bummed by this one— I expected to LOVE it, and maybe that is part of the problem. All I can taste is honeybush…which I have an aversion to. I added some almond milk and that help cut the flavour, but it’s still there— reminding me of the dreaded ‘birthday cake’ tea I loathe. I’m virtually getting NO ginger— maybe I will try mixing this with some Super Ginger and I’ll enjoy it more. It’s fine, but I won’t be buying it again.
YUM! This is so darn good and decadent tasting— its like a 10 calorie peppermint hot chocolate! This is one I’m going to be reaching for a lot more as we head towards the holidays.
I’m clearly in the minority here, but I ADORE this tea. Top 5 favourite, ever. It tastes like the holidays—like drinking a clove orange! The natural sweentess is great, and I actually found it did really well on a second steep. The only down side, as others have mentioned, is how heavy it is— I got a 25g bag, and I got about 2 or 3 cups out of it! This makes it pretty darn pricey.
Preparation
LOVE!! Tastes like a big warm molasses cookie to me… my favourite of the Fall Collection! This is the one I’ll be stocking up on, without a doubt.
Preparation
I don’t know… I feel like the only one who doesn’t get it. To me, this tea doesn’t taste like enough of anything— not enough chai, not enough spice, not enough pumpkin. It doesn’t taste bad, it just doesn’t taste like much of anything. Such a bummer, because I SO wanted to love it.
On that note, I’m sitting on about 75g of it— as Fall Teas are leaving stores tomorrow, anyone want to arrange a trade?
