25 Tasting Notes
Just opened this and a wondeful haze of fine matcha dust left the can as I did so! Started it off at 2 chashaku of matcha, 80ml Water, 75 Degrees C… Immediatly I could tell this was the highest quality matcha I have had to date, it sifted and whisked very easily. In terms of flavour it had a touch more bitterness than the Kiri-No-Mori, so next time I will knock the water temperature down a little (perhaps to about 65). Overall though very tasty!
Yet again drinking the bagged version of an Adagio tea, although I have taken the leaves out and put them in my glass pot. I used 1 bags worth of leaves, 160ml water, 80 degrees C, 1.5 mins. I’m starting to like this tea the more times I brew it, it’s certainly not the highest grade of Long Jing, and perhaps a tiny bit over-fired, but still some very plesant roasty, citursy notes.
