55 Tasting Notes
I’ve never been able to get into this tea. I’ve never really understood black/green tea blends, because they have to be brewed so differently. It seems like one of them is always going to be suffering, and I didn’t find anything especially wonderful about this blend’s taste. I’d rather have either a black tea, a green tea, or an oolong- just not all together.
If I’m getting a cup of tea at Starbucks, this is generally what I get. This tea has a fairly strong spicy flavor that works well with milk, and I find it more interesting than the Awake blend, which is basically the only other option for black tea when one is at the ’bucks.
Coffee flavored tea sounds like a weird thing, but it really is quite nice. Basically, it’s like all of the good things about the flavor of coffee without the harshness- think a coffee flavor on the smooth base of tea. In any case, I love this tea- the coffee and cream flavors are both evident, and it produces a lovely after dinner cup.
