A very refreshing, summery tea. Slightly fruity, slightly floral. Certainly smells like a dream. Would love to try iced.

Where’s my Shakespeare at?

This isn’t a review of the quality or taste of the tea per se, but of its awkward incarnation as a K cup. I’m sure it’s supposed to be greatly convenient, and sometimes (we have these at work), it’s just what I need in the morning. The problem lies with the machinery itself. It’s used to make coffee, which really shows up in the taste of the tea. Today, particularly, it was just plain bizarre. I think I’ll stick to bringing in my own tea and using hot water when I want something that actually tastes like tea.

There is the slightest hint of smokiness in this tea, which is about all I can handle. The dominant flavor that stood out to me was honey – though I had added nothing to it. Such a tea stands out fine on its own or with a little milk.

drank Green Darjeeling by Kusmi Tea

Another tea from my assorted selection of teabags (good quality muslin kind) that I bought to brighten up my work day.

Online it’s described as having a floral taste, and yes, maybe slightly. What I noticed, though, from smelling it, was grapefruit. It tastes of grapefruit too, but only lightly. There’s the slight texture of green tea, a stronger texture than black Darjeeling, but not by much.

I have a feeling I’ll be buying this after I’m done with the samples.

drank Sweet Love by Kusmi Tea

Well, it is sweet and it is lovely. Normally I don’t go for things that are licoricey, but it was pleasantly tolerable. I’m a little worried about the guarana…in a few minutes I’ll probably be flying.

Definitely don’t steep too long as it doesn’t need it. Smells amazing!

I am on the “Jasmine Tea Lovers” side of the camp, because not only is it fantasically flavorful but I tend to think it invigorates me more than other green teas. Possibly more than black teas. This tea adds a bonus by unraveling in a clear pot/glass. It’s aromatic, delicious and a little afternoon entertainment for the eyes. Nothing wrong with that.

I don’t drink this for the taste, really, as I’m not the hugest fan of camomile. This doesn’t mean I don’t like it – I like it in the way I like favorite cereals of my childhood. Even though I don’t seek it out regularly, sometimes it just makes me feel at home. I keep it at work for its calming effects – it doesn’t make me tired, just relaxed. Few things do this.

It’s okay. Nothing wrong with it. Not amazing though.
