98 Tasting Notes
In the first steeping it had quite an intense astringency, though it did have a nice bitter chocolate after taste. The second steeping was much nicer though as a lot of the astringency was taken out in the first brewing and the chocolate taste remained. The after taste was similar to having just eaten a chocolate bar.
Preparation
Not terrible for a Mate tea but not great either. The taste of Mango is rather muted and really only kicks in as an after taste which isn’t wholly bad but not really my thing. The Mate tasted very wheaty in itself but not to the point where it was unpleasant.
Preparation
Got in store prepared by the General Manager.
Tasted very leafy and pretty fresh, similar to fresh spinach. The only problem was that I don’t believe enough tea was used in the preparation as their was very little flavor, though I like my tea strong so who knows.
Preparation
Got this as a .5 oz sample in store. There is a lemony taste that isn’t over powering and it nicely compliments the fresh grassy taste of the tea leaves. It leaves a nice refreshing taste in your mouth and tastes great even after a few steeping’s.
