Sipdown!
It feels like a strange thing to just have added this fairly old (2018) tea to Steepster! And when I just sipped it down, too. This one was really quite good – fantastic base with delicious creamy banana flavour. Reminds me of … 52teas’ Coconut Banana Cream Pie Houjicha? Is that the one? Similar toasty/sweet combo. I’ll miss it.
This was nice. I liked it more than DT’s regular earl grey/earl grey cream; the flavours blended quite well together without either the bergamot or lavender overpowering. I do still prefer 52teas’ Vanilla Whipped Lavender Grey, but this is a nice substitute to keep stashed away as well.
Sipdown!
This was old but unopened, and I had a lovely few cups of this with my mom last week. Sweet with that characteristic dragonwell flavour, although definitely less fresh and vibrant than it could have been.
My cupboard is becoming a little bare on the fresh greens front, as I haven’t ordered a great deal of unflavoured tea lately, but maybe next year or 2025 I’ll feel like I can indulge…
I had been avoiding this tea for months, thinking I was going to hate it. I finally drank it last week and was very pleasantly surprised by its depth of flavour and the fact that it was much more than just licorice/anise. No specific notes on flavour; I’ve had a rough go of things lately and about all I can really remember are impressions – and this tea gave a good one!
Been giving finishing up some Butiki teas a halfhearted attempt lately, since they’re getting pretty old and I have a lot. Had some of this one recently, and unless I’m mixing it up with an A Quarter to Tea tea of a similar name (which is possible), it was quite satisfying. No particular notes on flavour, just a good experience.
