61 Tasting Notes
The first thought I had when I smelled this tea was there was a light sweet aroma. It reminded me of creamed corn to a degree. The flavor is light and sweet with still some of that corn sweetness. I am going to have to try this one again to see if the flavors are present in the next batch.

The bagged version of Twinings Earl Grey was my first experience with hot tea. However, my sister recently brought me a tin of the loose back from London. It is levels above the bagged version, and reminds me with ever sip why Earl Grey is still my favorite tea. Also, makes me want to go home and watch episodes of Star Trek Next Generation on Netflix.
Preparation
There is a pleasant vegital aroma after steeping the tea. There is a slight sweetness in the taste that I can’t quite place, but it isn’t overbearing making for a nice balance with the grassy flavor. It is also light on the drying astringency which some teas have.
Preparation
Let me start off by thanking TeaEqualsBliss for writing her review of this tea. It was enough to get me to buy it. This tea is amazing. I already know the next time I steep this tea I am going to up the steeping time by a minute or two. My first thought is that this chai is a cool twist on the traditional chai. The chocolate is subtle enough that it is in the background, and doesn’t overpower the other spices. Add a little milk after steeping for a nice after dinner drink or a great way to start the day. My thanks again to TeaEqualsBliss.
Preparation
The only other Dragon Well tea I have tried is by Teavana. The first thing I noticed about Rishi’s Dragon Well is the delicate almost floral aroma on the leaves as I opened the package. After it has been steeped the tea has more of a hay and grass aroma. There is a slight nutty flavor with all the clean green tea flavor that you would expect.
Preparation
Due to a previous Yunnan Gold tea I had, I wasn’t sure that I would enjoy this tea. However, there is a subtle gentle earthiness to this tea along with a crisp clean finish that is making this a perfect after lunch pick-me-up. A solid tea that I would recommend.
Preparation
I was trying to determine which of the teas I have at the office that I wanted to carry in my thermos to enjoy tonight. That was when I noticed this tea. I am glad I found it. The most surprising thing to me is that the tea has an almost cherry aroma. I don’t remember this from the last time I made it, but it is pleasant. There is no bitterness and it is a very soothing tea after the spice from the masala chai I was drinking earlier. I can’t quite place the flavors I am tasting in this tea, but will have to look into getting some more.
Preparation
This is a solid and clean masala chai. I am currently drinking it without milk. I will say that it is still a pleasant drink without milk. Some masala chais can be overpowering without milk, but this one holds up nicely. I am going to take some home and prepare it with milk to compare. I will post another note when I do that.
