Tetley

This is a pretty weak and uninspiring tea, I guess I’ve been spoiled by better quality ones.

I live in the South. It’s August. Sometimes, you just need a big glass of iced tea (I prefer mine unsweetened). This is not one of those glass-pitcher-garnished-with-mint photo opportunities. This is about heading directly to the refrigerator to quench your thirst after coming in from 90 degree temperatures.

Harney it ain’t, and it doesn’t pretend to be. Of the big bag, always-on-the-grocery-store-shelf teas, I much prefer Tetley to Luzianne or, heaven forbid, Lipton.

This is my standard everyday tea. It’s a good Orange Pekoe and isn’t much hurt by oversteeping. Good with milk and sugar.

Bland. It’s better with milk, but there are a lot better Chai teas out there.

I keep a stock of this in the office, and brew 2 cups every afternoon at 2pm. I used to drink PG Tips or Typhoo regularly, but they are both so costly in the states. Very good cuppa!

I like vanilla and pear, what can I say. Comforting.

Let it steep for about 3 minutes and add a teaspoon of sugar and milk. Suggested to me by a British family who enjoys a good hot tea.

Earl Grey is my failsafe tea. I have to have one cup day; sweet with soy milk. I get adventurous and try other teas but I always come back to this one.

I used to drink Lipton. Oh how young and naive I was back then. Little did I know, there was a stronger, more delicious gem of a tea bag out there until I was introduced to Tetley British Blend. One sip of this, and you will never want to go back to any other black tea. The introduction of Tetley tea filled the Tetley teabag shaped hole in my heart. I typically take my black teas with little sugar, lots of milk—but not so much that I’m essentially drinking milk. Take it with evaporated milk, and 1/2 a teaspoon to a teaspoon of brown sugar. Mmmm, de-lish!

Tetley British Blend is a great basic tea. If I just want a black tea to drink, this is where I go. Delicious and relaxing.

I didn’t think I’d like this one, but I bought it anyway and now it’s one of my favorite teas to drink with breakfast!

Tetley’s green tea tastes awful and inauthentic, they must use the worst green tea out there
