The last swap sample for the night!
This is not my favorite. But I knew that going in, as it’s a marzipan-flavored rooibos, which to me sounds like a terrible combination ha ha. I find I don’t enjoy marzipan and amaretto-flavored teas these days, I just find them overly sweet and cloying, almost like there’s artificial sweetener added. And I feel like that somewhat boozy amaretto-like note also tends to bring out the medicinal quality in rooibos and ends up tasting like cherry cough syrup. That’s pretty much the case here, overall it reminds me of cloyingly sweet cherry medicine. I don’t taste orange, and maybe just a hint of cinnamon.
So obviously not a favorite, ha ha… But I definitely appreciate the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone every now and then, as tastes tend to change over time. :)

What a lovely surprise! I wouldn’t normally reach for an herbal bagged tea, but I decided to give this one a shot based on Martin’s recommendation and I’m so glad I did! The flavor of this one really blew me away. The name is spot-on…it tastes and smells like freshly squeezed orange juice! Super natural and refreshing and I’m guessing it would make an amazing iced tea!
Flavors: Orange, Orange Zest, Sweet
I have a weird soft spot for Teekanne bagged teas. And for opuncia/prickly pear.
The tea surely smells like opuncia, in a fresh, not artificial way. It is fruity and sweety, with some straw green tea character in the background.
And it also tastes decently. there is a balance between the base green tea and opuncia flavouring, the tea is not overdone and it’s really pleasant to drink.
It’s not a double jackpot, but I really like it.
Flavors: Fruity, Prickly Pear, Sweet
Lime tea is not one you come across everyday but I was excited for this because I love lime. This summer I made the very best lime and raspberry popsicles. I still make them. I also made a lime cheesecake. So I was excited for this tea. It does a great job of capturing the essence of lime. I really do think of fresh lime drinking this yet it still has a tea element. Very nice cold. And also pleasant hot. I like it.
The first couple of cups I drank hot, not good. From then on, I drank the rest of the bags cold. Much more pleasant as a cold tea. I have no idea what a heart cherry is but it does have a cherry flavor and something else a little odd. Not my favorite cold tea, but not bad either. There are better berry teas out there
I think the tea I have is just Ginger Orange, I think the Ginger and Orange is a different tea but I don’t feel like adding it. This is the least Gingery ginger tea of the bunch I have tried from Teekanne. The orange is what hits you, and then you taste a little bit of Ginger. It’s a nice combination. Would be fun to make a cake or something with similar flavor. Probably not anything I will be doing anytime soon though…Overall…nice.
Hadn’t noticed this one in the store before. Its turmeric ginger…probably once of the healthiest teas… turmeric has a wide range of benefits and I think they are tiny bits instead of powder. Good for you and tastes good for you. Not my turmeric drink of choice, I prefer a golden milk with spices. But easy
Flavors: Ginger, Turmeric
Cant really taste the lemon, just the bite of the ginger. Could come in handy when sick or making a hit toddy. Ginger is really good for you and nice to have in a quick and easy tea… although making it with real ginger and lemon is easy to. This is nice when you want tea in literally seconds.
More chamomile fennel tea. It seems to be a very popular flavor here in Germany. I think it tastes Identical to the Mesmer tea- going from memory. I don’t like the smell though. I feel like on the nights I drank it, I slept much better though. A good one for upset stomach. Wouldnt recommend drinking for fun but for certain purposes
Flavors: Chamomile, Fennel
Another treat from Martin! This one came in a standard tea bag.
Mmm, this is a nice herbal, hot or cold! I taste a lot of orange and orange zest. It’s naturally a little sweet, and there’s some sour in there too. I left the bag in while it was hot, enjoyed it, forgot about it for a while, then added a little ice. At the end of the sip, there’s a good repeat of orange, orange zest, sweet, and sour. Thanks, Martin!

Last tea from my Teekanne fruit variety box.
Distinct elderflower aroma with a bit of orange.
Very rich, complex taste, with apple in the front, elderflower more in the back and citrus peels complimenting the mix, with no sourness and only a bit of sweetness. Really decent fruit blend.
Flavors: Apple, Citrus, Elderflower, Orange
Really yummy aroma of orange juice, a bit of essential oils from the peels and rich orange jam background. Everything seems fairly natural.
And the taste is also great. It has some very strong orange juice and orange jam qualities, distinctly sour, slightly tart, almost not sweet.
I like it. A lot. Nice to see something like that from a big company.
Flavors: Citrus, Jam, Orange, Pleasantly Sour, Tart
Fruit pie aroma. Strong, warming, sweet, natural, tempting.
Slightly sour and tart in taste, fortunately only barely sweet, fruity and natural. I like this one. It’s balanced and rich for a cheap bagged tea brand.
Flavors: Cake, Fruity, Pleasantly Sour, Sour, Tart
Strong aroma, at the same time fruity and leafy, complex and fairly natural.
Sourish taste with no sweetness, more citrusy than raspberry (the namesake fruit seems to linger in the background).
Really nice as far for a big company cheap fruit tea.
Flavors: Citrusy, Fruity, Pleasantly Sour, Raspberry, Sour
