They were right on this one! It does make an amazing iced tea! Hot, for me, the flavors go “Ooooh, berries…blegh chamomile….mmm mint!” and it leaves you with this amazingly tingly note. Iced, though, it reverses. At first, it tastes like the sun tea mom used to make with a sprig of fresh mint thrown in for flavor. You almost forget about the berries until they surprise you, mixing with the chamomile to create something delicious. It is wonderful, I’m so glad I made a pitcher of it!

This tea is so weird! In a wonderfully good way, but weird! I love raspberry mojitos, so this sounded right up my alley. The scent of the leaves is a bit aggressive, the sniff of the big tin in store sent me into a sneezing fit (not all over the tea, thank goodness). The scent calms down a bit after steeping and the taste is out of this world. I love it! I can’t wait to make it into an iced tea. The sweet berries with the tingly, cool mint? The tea was made for summer!

That’s one of the ones that intrgiued me on the website (big mint fan here!)

KeenTeaThyme

Blackberry & mint is a winning combo. I too am a huge mint fan! This sounds amazing; it’s on my shopping list now.

Daddyselephant

It is delicious. My wife and I are big mint fans as well (I prefer spearmint where she likes peppermint) and we all know I adore raspberries, so this is just perfect. Going to try and finish up my pitcher of golden peach in the fridge so I can make a pitcher of this today!

Uniquity

I just noticed the chamomile in the ingredients…I hope that’s not a discernible taste. That is one that just doesn’t sit well with me at all.

Daddyselephant

I have to be honest, when I was drinking it, it was a “mmmmm raspberry OH BLEGH CHAMOMILE oooooh minty!” kinda sip.

Mmmm peaches. Few things in life leave me happier. After I’ve had a tall glass of this, I feel like I just ate a big juicy peach, which is exactly what I wanted. It’s fruity and juicy and tastes like, well, a peach! Yum, yum, yum. This is my first iced tea and will be making many, many more. I’m going to go put on a sundress, pour myself another glass, and pretend it’s summer.

For this, I used 3 tsp of leaves in my 1.5 L teapot and steeped for 30 seconds, and then added probably another 1 L of cold water to fill the jug and then put it in the fridge. Next time I’ll probably boil more water and resteep the leaves for the second L, but it’s still flavorful and yet delicate. Yum.

drank Tahitian Vanilla by Tealish

So my wonderful wife, who is as brilliant as she is creative, made me a tea-drinking game for my birthday! I roll two D10s, and drink whatever tea matches the two numbers. If I roll doubles, I get to use one of the ADORABLE cards she made to determine which tea to drink. Squee! Best wife ever, y’all.

So, my first official use of the game was this morning, and this is what I rolled. Mmmmm…this was a very good place to start. I love vanilla and this was just what the doctor ordered.

So very glad I picked up this tea. It’s a tasty vanilla with an earthy undertone. The vanilla isn’t too sweet or overpowering, it’s just…nice. A very good cuppa!

Mmmmm. I’ve been looking for a good substitute for the now-discontinued Opposites Attract, and I think I may have found it. It’s refreshing and minty but leaves an earthy taste afterwards the grounds it out of being medicinal-tasting. I think I could drink this forever.

I’m not sure on this one. I think I added too much sugar, I need to try it straight. I always add sugar to my teas, so I’m rating based on how I usually fix it. Might change after another taste.

It was pretty okay. Had mine in-store and they were busy, so it ended up a bit scalded and a bit over steeped, but overall it was pretty nice. I look forward to trying the rest.

I love that place!! too bad it’s in such an awkward location for me to get to…

Daddyselephant

Me too, and we ended up heading in the completely wrong direction to begin with. But we made it and we’re soooooooooooo glad we did! We went to Sneaky Dee’s for lunch and wandered through Kensington Market…I’ll take any excuse to go there! But yeah, kinda hidden away, but what a treasure!

Indigobloom

ooh Sneaky Dee’s!! that place has great music and greasy food :)
Maybe it’s a blessing I don’t go that way often, or else my wallet would be empty all the time, and don’t get me started on Kensington, that place is loads of fun!!

nomadinjeopardy

I moved to this area last summer and it is bad for your wallet.

Daddyselephant

Yeah, if De and I ever get rich, we want to move closer downtown (we’re in Etobicoke now) but now for a few years yet!

The cup I had was a little burnt, but overall it was pretty tasty. Neither of the fruit flavours screamed pomegranate or goji berry, but without that bit of misnomenclature it was an enjoyable fruity green tea, with just a bit of a perfumey aftertaste. I don’t think I’ll buy a bag of it any time soon, but I liked the cup I had.

Delicious! I knew right when I saw it that I’d love this tea, since it incorporates three of my four favourite flavours: Cherry, rose, and sencha. They mix together beautifully, creating a really pleasant light green tea, perfect for when my attention was flagging at work yesterday.

What’s the fourth favourite flavour?

De

Virgin tears.

This tea basically tastes like you’re drinking blueberry bubble gum, and I’m not 100% sure why. It’s my current go-to before-bed tea. Will almost definitely be buying more when my current bag runs out!

(Note: It’s not nearly as sweet when you drink it as it is when you smell it!)

drank Juicy Pear by Tealish

Don’t get me wrong, this is a fine tea. Beautiful green tea with pear — how could you go wrong. It’s just that there’s something that’s almost chemical or unnatural about this tea. It might be there’s too many ingredients? I don’t know.

At the end of the day, this is a great tea and it tastes fine. Personally I just need to get over the overly candy scent of the leaves and other ingredients. I think next time around I’ll go for a simpler blend.

I’m torn. It’s good, but it doesn’t seem like it should be…
