This is keeping things nice and light for my early morning at work (and hopefully helping keep me awake). It’s a lovely, creamy coconut flavour, like young fresh coconuts rather than the more overpowering coconut flavours I usually find in DT teas. I’m still really pleased with the sencha in this. This cold-brewed for about ten hours and the sencha comes through nice and strong. It’s slightly grassy right now, but sweetly so and not bitter. I find with green teas I should stop infusing cold-steepin’ leaves as soon as I wake up and not let it go for twelve hours or bitterness may ensue.
Why, oh why did I buy more tea today?
Well, this is a very pretty tea. And it smelled too good to resist. I was a little worried by what I at first thought was a lack of scent once it had steeped, but I shouldn’t have been. The liquor is a lot more subtle but so delicious.
It’s very creamy and full, so it’s really satisfying. This is a good dessert-type tea. It reminds me a lot of DAVIDsTEA’s Toasted Walnut (and probably Tealish’s Walnut Ave. as I think they share a recipe), but this is a nicer texture for me. So creamy! I am really liking that I can taste the sencha with the coconut. It gives a really nice, refreshing aftertaste. Yum. I think that is why this rates higher for me than something like DT’s White Malibu. The sencha is really great here. I don’t get much from the floral aspects, but the sencha + not-too-sweet coconut has me very happy.

Guh. Last night was a rough one. Food tasted funny, I napped for three hours and was still exhausted, and I had a pounding headache that 4 tylenol didn’t even touch. I reached for this in hopes of getting some relief. It did help everything but the headache, for which I am grateful, but I still ended up in bed early with the covers over my head.

I reached for this tea because if I have to go after another of my “flu-feeling-better” teas, I’m going to scream, but I don’t want to waste any of my favorites when I can’t really taste them properly. So I went for this, hoping the orange zest and juniper berries would do something for my flu (it’s been a week now). I was surprised at how tasty it is! Surprised and very pleased. Another winner from Tealish! It seems that if I just avoid anything with hibiscus in it, their teas are pretty good! It doesn’t taste medicinal like a lot of herbals do and the spices in it keep it different enough to keep my interest.

I don’t think I gave this one a fair shake last time I tried it. I was only kinda meh on the experience, but I think I might have scorched it or something, because this time around it was delicious! A very full Earl flavour that isn’t too sweet and works well with the smoky green base.

Mmmm. I was very excited to try this tea, and was very pleased at the results. It’s very mellow, both for a green and a Grey. The Earl Grey flavour wasn’t terribly strong, but it was such an all-around nice cup of tea that I didn’t particularly care.

Having a bit of a crap day, including trying to decide if I need to call the cops or not, and I definitely needed something to wake me up and be soothing. This fit the bill beautifully. It’s smooth and not bitter at all. I only let it steep for 2 minutes and I’m in heaven. The vanilla and caramel and grenadine are all very present…I am very happy with this tea! Yay Tealish! You didn’t ruin this with hibiscus!

Yeah, we’re okay, just running in to some issues with (violent) former tenants coming on to our property and going through our mail. We’re trying to decide if it’s worth the hassle or not, as the police around here tend to be less than helpful. Where’s a mountie when you need one? :D
I was more than half-asleep when I made my morning cuppa. I brewed this at the same temperature I did for greens, and then forgot about it for ten minutes. I was sure that I had ruined it, but it was surprisingly not bitter! A little cold.
What else can I say? It was pleasant but forgettable, a nice little caffeine boost in a tasty package, but I didn’t linger over it.

So I had this while running around Toronto yesterday and I was sad to say I wasn’t impressed. It was tasty at first, but the true test of a rooibos for me is if it can stay in my travel mug and not go weird and this one failed. It tasted a bit like blueberry, but soon enough it was a bit “I’mma let you finish, but hibiscus is the best tea ingredient of all time!” Blegh. Why? Why ruin delicious teas with hibiscus? Ever since the Hibiscus Raspberry coffee cherry mess, hibiscus just makes my stomach turn. I’ll finish out this bag and keep a close eye on the steep time, but I don’t think I’ll restock it.

After the beauty of Strawberry Shortcake last night, I pulled this one back out to see it if it was comparable.
Not even close. Not even in the same realm. I had the Strawberry Shortcake from Tea Emporium last night and I can still taste it. I finished this cup five minutes ago and couldn’t tell you what it tastes like. This is definitely not one to restock, in fact, it will probably go up for swap.
This is a tasty tea, but it’s just that. It’s not mind blowing, it’s not juicy, it’s not amazing, it’s just tasty. It’s light a refreshing and one I’m glad I’ve tried, but this 50 g needs to do a lot more to impress me before I decide to replace it. I drank about half the mug and got distracted. 15 minutes later I started this review and honestly couldn’t remember what it tasted like. So….tasty, but forgettable.

Love, love, love this one. I’ve had it cold steeping for a few days and I had forgotten how good is it cold. It’s minty and fruity and utterly delicious. It’s still that blue raspberry slushie flavour without all of the sugar and badness.
How have we never had a swap before?! That is craziness – we should rectify the situation soon I think :D Pop me a PM when you have time for a little swap perhaps?
Yum yum yum. My wife and I are drinking this like mad. It still tastes like a blue icee, without the syrupy sweetness, and the mint makes it just beautifully refreshing after being out in the sun.
