This is gentle and smooth. A very lightly colored brown liquor post infusion.
I really like this. Probably one of my FAVE Darjeelings to date! Very fresh, VERY Springy!!!! No astringency at all! Not earthy…just clean and springy!
This one certainly didn’t last long :)

This is incredibly malty and rich. The first infusion was slightly astringent but still tasty for those who enjoy a strong black tea! The 2nd infusion was also nice. Still malty but not astringent…and still strong! YAY!

This is a more masculine type black tea with a little bitterness to it. It’s hearty and bold. It’s pretty in-your-face but in a good way! A really wonderful morning tea! There are caramel notes that carry you on into the aftertaste which are nice, too! YAY!
This is a great Ceylon. My first cup of this, I used a little too much leaf, I think. It was still very good – in fact, I think I prefer the first cup to this second cup! It was robust and even a little malty. In fact, I might have mistaken it for an Assam!
This second cup, I used the correct amount of leaf, and it is lighter and crisper. It doesn’t have that same robust, malty flavor of the first cup, but both were very nice, and I like that this tea offers you some versatility (although I’m not sure it meant to!)
I’ve been wanting to notch off this A-MURR-ican-grown white tea for some time. Luckily, it’s now available for purchase – both at Tea Hawaii and at KTeas. I received this one-off sample amidst a bulk of others, and I’m rather surprised it took me a month to finally get to it. This is a very burly and full-bodied white tea with a complex character. Flavors it evokes range from tropical fruit to volcanic earthiness…as well as the flutteriness of a good Bai Mu Dan. Like all Hawaiian teas I’ve tried, it’s in a league of its own. Not sure for which sport, though.

Preparation
2nd Infusion: I kept the leaves for a second infusion, and I’m enjoying it almost as much as the first. This one is a little thinner in texture, and the flavor is lighter too. But, out from behind that lighter flavor emerges a hint of a spiced note in the background that I didn’t notice before. This infusion is different, but still quite lovely.
Amazing! The more I try Hawaiian teas, the more I like them. This is excellence in a tea cup.
Lighter than I expected, almost Oolong-like in its texture. It has very little astringency. Nice complexity. Malty, sweet, and I am even getting that rice syrup note as mentioned in the description. The bit of astringency that I notice here is somewhat starchy.

Delicious. I tried the Morawaka Ceylon FBOPF-1 the other day, and today I’m trying the BOP-1. These two teas are certainly similar in composition, although I noticed more of a caramel-y sweetness to the FBOPF-1, and more of a fruity/citrus-y sweetness to this. The caramel undertones of this develop as I continue to sip, by mid-cup, they are much more obvious, but still not quite as strong to me as in the FBOPF-1.
I also notice a fuller body to this than I did with the FBOPF-1. Other than that, the flavors are very similar. They both were smooth and delicious.
This is a really wonderful Ceylon. It has a robust flavor. A full-bodied tea with a well-rounded flavor. It has a sweetness to it that tastes like burnt sugar, and it has a slight bitterness to it that ties in with the burnt sugar profile. This is no ordinary Ceylon!
This is a beautiful, beautiful tea.
I fell in love with this tea before I even opened the package because of the name. My beloved gramma’s name was Ola, and when I read the name of this tea tears came to my eyes.
This is a delicious green tea. Light and very vegetative. It has a very clean taste – it doesn’t taste overly sweet or buttery, it has a very pleasant green veggie taste that is somewhere between grassy and steamed spinach.
I’m looking forward to multiple infusions with this one. It’s very refreshing.
Ahhhhmazing! This is so good. Robust, malty, rich, and I can really taste the freshness of this tea. An OUTSTANDING Assam!
It is very smooth, rich, and a pleasant caramel-like sweet undertone. There is a hint of bitterness toward the middle of the sip, but it isn’t that “Oops, I overbrewed the Assam” type of bitterness, more of a savory tone that gives the cup interest and depth.
Absolutely fabulous Assam.

I have been wanting to try this one for a while.
I can taste the Raspberry leaves more than the raspberry fruit and it’s not really reminiscent of yogurt, per say, but the over all taste is pleasing to my palate. I’m passing the rest on to my SororiTEA Sister Anne to try! :)
No idea why, but I’ve been on a bit of an Assam kick lately. This is my third run at this one. It’s as strong as I remembered. Weird, since I decided to brew it even stronger today Something to keep me going like a cup of light coffee. So far, doing the trick just fine. Smoky, malty, thick, chewy. All the manly words one can use to describe this.
Preparation
When I think of Assam, I think of MALT!. In caps, embolden, and carrying a large boot and sledgehammer for those very difficult mornings. This Assam is a bit of a different beast, possessing a smoky texture like a Russian Caravan. I was puzzled but pleased. And, boy, does it pack a wallop. Definitely not a mid-afternoon or evening tea. Well…unless you like to be awake at all hours.

I feel bad for adding this tea to the tea library and giving it a poor rating. Eww…the aftertaste just killed me in this tea, highly astringent taste with a hit of cherry just before the swallow. Would be fine if the flavor ended with that hint of cherry, but the strong appalling aftertaste hits right at the end of the sip.
New cup needed pronto!

I’ve been trying to figure out what the SMELL of this reminds me of and I can’t put my finger on it…I’ll continue to ponder…
As for the other features…the leaves are long and hard but unwind nicely! It infuses to a nifty-bold Med-dark Brown! The smell of the post-infused tea minus the leaves (tea stand-alone, that is) reminds me of a sweet potato type smell but also quite malty!
This tastes very good! Bold, Malty, a little sweet but a tad bitter – but in a good way, and has a slightly spicy/woodsy aftertaste that lingers more sweet than spice – perhaps more like pepper than other spices…at least hints of it.
This IS unique and quite good! I’m so happy I was able to try this one! I have missed Kteas Tea…haven’t had them in a while…I’ve enjoyed their offerings in the past!
